Hi all,
i'm planning to switch from WISE to this Mach card.
however i could not find this card at Hong Leong website. it appears only on another website
https://www.machbyhongleongbank.com/mach-credit-card

anyway, since i'm currently holding wise card, do i have to go thru the normal CC application process? or there is a short cut.
my plan is to walk in HLB branch to apply for this MACH card.
*
call-in to convert to Mach.

say you're not happy with the benefit revision for Wise card, and to convert. Also, stress them to pro-rate the AF that you've paid and transfer to the new Mach card.

the conversion is part of their comm. when Wise revising the benefits. Refer here

// Q: If I decided not to keep my WISE Credit Card, what option do I have?
A: If you find that the changed WISE Credit Card does not suit your needs, you are welcome to switch your WISE Credit Card to another credit card. No switching cost involved. Just give us a call at +603 7626 8899. We will be happy to assist you. //

Ya. Have to look at the title first otherwise might accidentally think that the list is eligible sweat.gif
*
nobody reply kart's question here biggrin.gif

Looking at the list of ineligible dining merchants, was it reported before that 5% dining Cashback is not given for very few dining outlets which really have MCC 5811, 5812 or 5814?

i guess those ineligible dining list are outside of MCC 5811/5812/5814, else it would've tagged as Dining.

Thanks.
*
it wont zerorize.

2 indicators: min payment = RM0 (after statement amount paid) and outstanding balance = reduced to latest outstanding amount

Dear All, as my statement date is 27th June 2017. However, i dont see any cash back from my spending. Anybody can confirm if the cash back should be credited on next month? Please refer to the picture below. Thank you.

cashback is posted on 1st of the following month, thus yours would be on 1 July (viewable in hlconnect on 2 July)

refer your statement's payment due date. it should be on 18 July 2017.

pay by this date.

Let's say if the statement is 18th July 2017. The Cashback should be posted on 1st July. If i pay 28th June 2017, then cashback only posted on 1st July, i should be paying extra. What do bank do with the extra money? It will be deducted for next month's outstanding?
*
yes, deduct from next month's outstanding.

since your statement date is earlier than cashback date, you basically "enjoy" the cashback 1 month late laugh.gif

why dont you change statement date to earlier date like 8th of the month? then the payment due date is 29th, which is near your pay day and the statement will capture the monthly cashback as well.

I thought my statement date should be perfect.

Statement date 27th, Cash back date 1st, then i pay after 1st. So that i still can pay for the amount - cash back for the previous month? I wonder if i understand correctly.
*
not sure if HLB's system detect it as underpayment for your June statement.

you can try if insist to but not recommended.

since you will continue using the card, it doesnt matter much. cashback amount is small biggrin.gif

Hi - any news about the cash rebaate for hotel transactions? Thanks
*
if you realized before, his statement already showing the category tagging.

it means those tagged transactions are identified as user's selected categories, i.e. eligible for cashback.

Celcom used to get cash back until recently... sad.gif

April 2017, it is shown as
CELCOM-EBILL KUALA LUMPUR MYS -- MOBILE

Starting May 2017, it is now shown as
CMSB-EBILL KUALA LUMPUR MYS -- RETAIL TXN

revised for some time already.

HLB and other banks really need to update their system to capture Celcom's new MIDs/description. doh.gif

the announcement stated so: ... your account number(s) along with other related facilities will remain unaffected.

they are just closing all mach branches and its operation is absorbed into existing hlb branches. this is more logical and practical approach to save & optimize cost (manpower, overhead, etc).

if it's a brand termination, the products would be changed or terminated. this is not stated in the announcement nor is their plan to ask customers to change the products. who knows. maybe they're killing the Mach brand/products down the line, when nearing Feb 2018.

imo, from brand perspective, i'd rather they kill off the Mach brand/products in one-shot, and offer migration option to existing HLB products. this is more tedious than closing branches.
