no, I check the water...(in the spare tank) every week. Its still full even now. Dunno why it didn't take the water from the tank. It just kept taking water from the radiator. I should have stopped the car immediately once I saw the meter go above 50%. Now dunno how much damage has been caused...2km drive to buy dinner caused me RM500 repair doh.gif

75% is where the damage HAS been dealt. 50% is your safe point.

Yes, general speaking...
Gas Absorer can handle more weight than oil type....
Coz, Gas is more stiffer and can handle more weight, so it will have less chances for you to scratch you bottom.....
*
oh really...no wonder my father told me to change to gas absorbers. Its only about RM10 more expensive. Not really sure about the performance or comfort compared to normal absorbers though. unsure.gif

Ultra racing? I tot it was only for the fender? Got UR Strut bars ar? blink.gif

QUOTE(lee831219 @ Nov 23 2006, 03:29 PM)
zenden also good wat. ultra racing more expensive. summore if buy from kent20 at zth got free installation for front and free delivery at certain area.
*
indeed, I bought from him. Real nice fella thumbup.gif
he help you install it too. But the rear cannot la...rear bar I had to go to a service center to install. kent20 helped me install the front.

QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Nov 23 2006, 04:45 PM)
ok kinda nood here. this two things for what? can explain to me. thanks...
i saw many cars have the rear one. mostly on Waja, Wira and Satria.
one more ting, is it comes in pair?
*
mainly got stability during cornering. But after installing...I experience much more than that. The ride over bumps is much more firm than before, I feel like I'm cornering in an F1 car, and for some reason...it accelerates better shocking.gif

For our Wira...I really suggest installing the rear. Its only RM65 and prevents the wira's rear to bottom out during cornering. You know la...wira's an old design. If you're using Waja...then the rear bar won't be as effective smile.gif

QUOTE(jacky @ Nov 23 2006, 11:18 PM)
sorry noobie here, can i ask is it true the strut bar help car cornering better? theoritically, i dont see any purpose of the bar.. a piece of bar help cornering?
*
Quote from Wikipedia:
A strut bar or strut brace is a mostly aftermarket car suspension accessory used in conjunction with MacPherson struts on monocoque or unibody chassis to provide extra strength between the strut towers.

With a MacPherson strut suspension system where the spring and shock absorber are combined in the one suspension unit, the entire vertical suspension load is transmitted to the top of the vehicle's strut tower, unlike a double wishbone suspension where the spring and shock absorber may share the load separately. In general terms, a strut tower in a monocoque chassis is a reinforced portion of the inner wheel well and is not necessarily directly connected to the main chassis rails. For this reason there is inherent flex within the strut towers relative to the chassis rails.

A strut bar is designed to reduce this strut tower flex by tying two parallel strut towers together. This transmits the load of each strut tower during cornering via tension and compression of the strut bar which shares the load between both towers and reduces chassis flex.

A direct result of this is improved chassis rigidity (similar to that gained from a lower tie bar); hence, the understeer is reduced, tire wear improved and metal fatigue is greatly reduced in the strut tower area. Following the aftermarket's lead, some manufacturers have started fitting strut bars to performance models, including the NISSAN Skyline R34, certain Nissan Sentra models (e.g. Sentra 2.0SE), Acura CL Type-S, and the HOLDEN VY II Commodore, as standard equipment.

QUOTE(bsmohd @ Nov 23 2006, 11:26 PM)
talkin bout the strut, yes it does make ur car feel more stable when cornering, but this mentallity will make ur tyre cepat botak, since it's stable, u'll tend to take sharp corners or accelerate more when goin thru corners, so it end up makan ur tyre, save ur tyres! ahaks! tongue.gif
*
I rather let my tyres go bold than to lose my life at any corner tongue.gif
how fast can a tyre go bald anyway. 2-3 years? Look at wikipedia's statement above...improve tyre wear rclxms.gif

QUOTE(kazami @ Dec 5 2006, 08:47 AM)
aircond KO mean spoilt or shut down...

my radiator water dry up yesterday... and spare tank no water... shit...
luckily radiator still got left abit water....
*
I had the same experience recently. Radiator completely dried up...air cond suddenly so damn hot, car temp indicator reached 75% shocking.gif doh.gif

I was about to reach home that time, so I just continue driving...once I reached the gates, I turned off the engine and pushed the car in tongue.gif after checking the spare tank - still full. Check the radiator...not sure. So I went to take the 500ml coke bottle and used it to add water. After a FEW shocking.gif bottles, I switched to 1.5L coke bottle. It still took about 4-5 trips back and forth the water pipe before the radiator was filled doh.gif

Moments later, I heard - drip, drip, drip. Then only realized the pipe connecting the engine to the radiator bocor doh.gif doh.gif If I just stopped and checked earlier shakehead.gif I'm sure the engine was damaged a little already...but I survived a trip to Johor and back with no problems, so I guess I'm very lucky smile.gif
