if spend around 10k to trasnplant engine i rather go buy another 2nd hand gti or brand new gen 2 liao  biggrin.gif .

i did alot of research and found out that wira can transplant 4g91 dohc 1500cc engine, mivec 4g92 or mivec 4g93, gsr 1.8 need pay undertable money and not 100 percent comfirm approve.  biggrin.gif .

i might just end up transplanting 4g91 1.5 dohc 110hp manual  biggrin.gif .
its power output should be equivelant to those 1.6 wira sohc  tongue.gif .

will be buying the half cut to install the dash board with digital aircond  drool.gif  rclxms.gif

anyone recommend any shop or nice half cut shop that do the installation too with nice workman ship?  icon_rolleyes.gif

Yup Wira also can fit with 4G91 engine, the power is better than 4G15 smile.gif
wIRA 1.6 sohc, SAY 112bhp...on wheel also dunno how much....
I need to Dyno 1 day and see

Now refill RM20 and go again, currently just covered 19km smile.gif

*touch wood* my 1.6 auto GB so far no problems at all, first batch 1.6 some more

4 speed cars of course can save more because of the 4th gear....90km/h less than 2.5K, around 2.2-2.3K on road

kazami : Wira 1.6 all is using 4G92P engine, only after year 2000 the ECU changed from MMC to Siemens. 1.6 and above cars all have disc brakes for both front and rear.

niveksedroul: The needle will flunctuate when taking a corner is common among all Wiras. It is because it is away from the sensor while cornering. About your FC thingy, your driving condition is mostly city or highway? If its highway, should have more mileage and I agree 1.3 is a bit underpower for a Wira, no matter wether it is a Sedan type or a hatchback type. At least the 4G15 engine is minimal for performance.

Those aftermarket air filters will sure increase your perofrmance as it lets more air in. About the exhaust, well it does contribute some performance but it will be noisy, if you want power I recommend you change the extractor to 4-2-1 from Zenden or powerzsone. Hot bits 1 is the same as Zenden. The exhaust change to S-flow so that your torque will not be sacrificed in the lower rpm range.

Do regular service too, change engine oil, check your tyre pressure and etc

More info on the exhaust systems, you can take a look at soulfly's pinned thread

AFter u install the air filter and exhaust, you should feel better pickup as well as performance. About the transmission, the gear ratio is set in the factory already, so just use it lor or change to a better ratioed auto GB/manual GB

shinjite u said my wira 1.6 engine is 4G92P. That engine good ar? I found it that my fuel use up very fast. Maybe i press too hard sometimes. I heard my friend said 1.6 engine tuned by mitsubishi. Is that true?
*
1.6 4G92 is good actually as I myself am using 1 smile.gif Eat fuel fast must be due to your driving habits, under load, driving conditons or the car not properly maintain. The engine is tuned here locally, just the parts are taken from Mitsubishi. The engines that are in our hood is the Proton version hence the P at the back of the engine code XD

So that means I can't do anything about my oh-so-screwy transmission right now? Oh man.....I don't wanna go through something so tiring as having to swap the transmission. But that aside, how much would it cost to replace it? I'd rather not pay more than 1.5K to do that.
*
definitely less than 1.5K, for a good deal you need to scout for it at chop shops

The specification is not correct 1. My cousin's 1.5 AT EFI can go 170km/h

From what i understand and experienced, the PWR (Power) mode changes gear at higher RPM (and usually wont change to the top gear at all) - so you have more power and faster acceleration. Also the gearbox downshifts quicker when you slowed down

Whereas the ECN (Economy) mode will change gears as normal, using the most fuel efficent setup as possible, and often it wouldnt really downshift to the lower gear unless its really slow.
*
Yeah, power mode basically the gear box shifts gears faster to increase the speed and also good for accelerating. About the usually won't change at the top gear at all only implies when you keep on press the pedal hard, if you drive normally, it will definitely go to the highest gear if the ECU detects that you aren't gonna pedal it further to efficient mode. This is base on my experience

Obviously power mode, eco is economy mode but it depedns on how you drive too
Power makes ur car accelerate faster = gear change faster
