QUOTE(Liquid Snake @ Feb 7 2013, 02:33 PM) So are u suggesting that lm6700 is not good enough for 24p 1080? Exactly! You can dig my old post. The LM6700 has a native 60hz LCD, 120hz is archived via black frame insertion or LED scanning. HDGURU has proven this where a 120hz with TruMotion MC/ME (Motion compensation/ motion Estimation) MUST produce at least 600 lines of motion resolution. In the case of LM6700 with TruMotion on, its still doing the lowly 320 lines, which is a typical 60hz LCD characteristic. http://hdguru.com/lg-55lm6700-hdtv-review-...z-updated/8281/Why go for 120hz ? 120hz LCD (240hz LED specification) gives you even division of 24hz, to produce proper pulldown of 5:5 for pure 24hz performance. LM6700 is 60Hz, thus succumb to 3:2 pull down which produce JUDDER! To overcome this it must engaged Trumotion, unfortunately its not 24p BUT 60p (Soap opera effect - many people hates it) . It defeats the purpose of 24p Blu-Ray. LM7600 is GREAT with or WITHOUT TruMotion. This post has been edited by Mea Culpa: Feb 7 2013, 04:22 PM

Trumotion is like unevenly fast fowarded for 24hz input , some ppl cant stand soap opera effect the slightest. JUDDER is obvious for 24hz with no trumotion for LM6700, anyone can see this but not all get distracted by it. If you're ok with the said issues then its fine. Due to 60hz lcd, trumotion of lm6200 will NOT work on 1080i and 720p component. This post has been edited by Mea Culpa: Feb 8 2013, 01:46 PM

Just test on 1080p football, all the ugliness of interpolation will pop out. With so many fast panning, kills it.
The artifacts much lesser on PC, as its equipped with more powerful vector processing. HDTV RISC or cpu is rigid and just too WEAK for vector computation, regardless how much effort they put on the algos, it simply doesn't cut.
Motionflow 800 ,is good but still night n day compared to gpu accelerated interpolation.
If you're familiar with avisynth you'll know how these artefact looks like and try how to tweak to lessen it.

hi,
i own LM6200 and most of my video are download from internet and most of them are in rmvb format.
unfortunately, the rmvb cannot directly play from the TV, it is not supported.
other than setup htpc / media player, is there anywhere to play the rmvb directly from this TV ?
any apps can be install ?
* currently i have converted around 10 cartoon from rmvb to mp4 and save it to my usb tumb drive and plug it to tv for my children to view, it is really time consume to do this.
thanks.

Can lg 5700 read rmvb? Renaming rmvb to mkv will enable the TV to play the file?

Hi,
Im considering a new TV either Samsung (UA46ES6220R) or LG (LM6700). Kind of leaning towards Samsung because it seems more popular. I'm more interested in Smart TV, Apps, and web browser functions.
I'm hoping to use it to watch videos online streaming like TED.com, 1channel.ch, youtube etc. I've heard bad things about the Samsung web browser, but haven't heard much on the LG one. Would these sites and flash work on the browser? Does LG support bluetooth mouse and keyboard?

guys,
I need user experience with the 55" LM7600 pls. A lotta review quote the negatives being not very good black levels and bad edge light bleeding. These 2 seems to be very consistent and comes up most review.
How is real world experience ? I'm not really keen on 3d just 80% astro and 20% bluray/dvds/mkv/avis.
Thanks

These 2 seems to be very consistent and comes up most review. How is real world experience ? I'm not really keen on 3d just 80% astro and 20% bluray/dvds/mkv/avis. Thanks I own that particular model. Anyway I bought this unit solely for its 3d though I admit after bought it, I don't really really see 3d as much as I expect to Anyway the bad edge light bleeding is quite noticeable but I'm used to it by now. Nothing major though...only when light is dark and the screen is black. To me, it's nothing, really!! PQ is nice, astro OK (wish all channels are HD). HD material imho is superb. If you do get this unit, you've got to calibrate it to get the black levels and PQ that is optimal to you. There're few suggestions calibration presets from this thread. In conclusion, I'm so far satisfied with this unit and I believe it's a good buy, but then again it's just me. Good luck with your decision This post has been edited by raif: Mar 12 2013, 03:49 PM
