Yesterday my android firewall app stopped working.
first time it happen.
i cannot start it. everytime after setting which app to allow in the white list,
during activation, it will have this error.



i went to google, and seems some people have this issue as well.
i tried installing the developer version of droid wall and it can run, but my ori droid wall fail to launch.
i tried installing, uninstalling, clear cache, etc but didnt work.

got so fed up and went to sleep. before sleep did a cwm backup.

today when wake, suddenly it worked again.
weird.....

serious? how to do that?

yeah, manage to get rid of camera sound.
its really so easy to do. strange if you google how to do it, really no clear cut instruction. all the methods are outdated for GB and does not work for ICS.


For ICS
basically copy the original camera.apk in /system/app in your phone to your PC.

on PC, use program 7zip open the camera.apk, replace 2 files inside to blank file. copy back to phone /system/app

profit!

i got ask before, but no one give working solution.

if go system/media
got many sounds related to camera, delete or add .bak extension to them does not work.
it just remove the camera shutter sound, the focus beep still there, not completely silent.
the focus beep sound is inside the camera.apk, need delete from there

need to do what i mention in last post only can get a fully silent camera.
no shutter sound and no focus beep sound.

yours paranoid ma, no need any mod the camera already silent ma.
i remember got option in paranoid settings to off camera sound,
long ago version, when its still called darkness rom.

stick with what's working fine for you.
unless you have time to entertain potential bugs.
wait weekend only flash la.

in the mean time observe xda thread see how it goes.
maybe by weekend got 3.0.2 then you facepalm haha

i dont use the stock messaging app.
go install handcent sms from play store. free and highly customizable.

then in option, uncheck the "auto convert message longer than 3 to mms" box,
and you're good to go.

i didnt know it was a standard feature.
all this while i use handcent and never had this problem.

handcent is nice, you can customize EVERYTHING,
background, bubble styly, color, font, font size,

customize ringtone for certain contact, and customize skin for different contact.
got reminder sms tone also, in case you miss the sms.
simply amazing.
