If price is the factor, then choose the right one after looking at the scope covered in comparison.

If cost is a major factor - you should look at other IPTS as well~

MSU is the first IPTS to set-up biomedical degree program in early 2003 and their faculty of Health Science has been strong ever since, Govt. Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) are also trained there~

So, experience-wise, MSU has the upper hand...

I graduated from there @ end of 2007 - later I joined MBBS program~

http://www.msu.edu.my/v7/fhls/bbiomed.php

...back then MSU is known as KUTPM, and it cost me around RM36 thousand +/- for the entire program, I'm not sure about the latest fee for the program.

Nowadays many IPTS apart from the ones you mentioned have started-up their own biomedical program (some goes by the name Medical Labotarory Science degree - syllabus-wise, almost the same), eg:

- UTAR: http://www.utar.edu.my/fs/index.jsp?fcatid...&fcontentid=838
- MAHSA: http://www.mahsa.edu.my/faculties/allied-h...dical-sciences/
- UNISEL: http://www.unisel.edu.my/prospective-stude...programmes.html
- Masterskill: http://amu.edu.my/MASTERSKILL%20WEBSITE/pr...cBiomedical.php

The following threads are some info on biomedical program in Education Essentials:

He graduated from a biomed course, which lasted for 3 years before moving on to a mbbs programme for another 5 years as a postgrad degree. However, he's not a GP yet even after 8 years.

To qualify in GP, we still need to undergo 2 years housemenship together with another 2 years of government medical officer.
Then, there is a 3 years registrar training for GP.

(Correct me if I'm wrong) biggrin.gif

3 years Biomedical Science Degree, followed by 3 or 4 years of MMBS. then housemanship. There's exemption of the first year (or 1st and 2nd- I cant remember) for the MBBS.

Sure! See the banners on the left and right? brows.gif

MONASH University is ranked #1 in Australia and the top 50 in the world for 22 subjects. laugh.gif

Now, you just need to check if the Biomedical course is whether or not one of the 22 subject. icon_idea.gif

You can ask Farmer_C as well. icon_rolleyes.gif

So Biomed grads don't get to design the Biomedical equipment (in Malaysia) for commercial purpose? icon_question.gif

You can design whatever you want. The question is, can it sell well in Malaysia? I'm sure you don't see Made in Malaysia test kits or equipments in your lab, right?

He's asking about the DEMAND anyway. Definitely no demand. We are still lagging behind.
