I am still using the stock harddisk Model Number ST9500420AS . This is Seagate right? Will try the seatool for dos  tutorial.

Yes this is seagate model number. What result did you get on Seatool?

This thing is just weird. I personally wasted 2 hours to get back all my stuff into the computer after clean windows installation. Still no luck getting it to work?

EDIT: Tested prototype 2, utilization issue still present, average 60%.
EDIT 2: Metro 2033 with avg. 90% utilization.

Prince J, do you mind testing games on the new 12.11 beta drivers? So far I only see improvements on BF3 and Metro. No luck for nfs and L.A. Noire

My tech did some testing for the 12.11 beta driver. We see lot of improvement in games, didn't test NFS run though.
Will wait for the final stable driver smile.gif

The 12.11 beta 3 only sees improvement on DX11 titles. DX9 support will come in the official 12.11 drivers. Which is true for Prototype 2 since its running in DX9 mode..however im not sure Why NFS the Run have the utilization issue though it could be because the game is capped at 30FPS since it was a console ported to PC unless of course there is an update to the game for the PC version to unlock the Frame rate.

Go for NP9150, GTX680M, stock HDD and caddy case on optical slot. You can add SSD later on. smile.gif

A 7k budget can get you a very decent machine at top performance. In my opinion, NP9150, NP9170 and NP9370 are all nice picks.
I would recommend the Crucial M4 mSATA 128GB SSD and the 1TB HDD. A DVD drive isn't necessary but sometimes it's kinda suffer when you want to load something from the DVD but wait...no DVD ROM, not sure is there anyone else experienced the same as me? The Crucial M4 mSATA is almost on a par with the 2.5 inch M4, why leave your msata slot empty? smile.gif

caddy case is to replace your optical drive(dvd drive) and you can put hard disk into the caddy as secondary internal hard disk

I don't really think a dvd rom (optical drive) is needed these days. The most I use it is to install windows and driver. Other than that, I don't use a dvd rom.

If you really need a dvd rom, why not get an external dvd rom since you won't be using it or carrying it along with you all the time?
For a 15.6" laptop like NP9150, just get rid of the optical drive and install a caddy case with the hard disk, then you got 2 hard disk to store all your stuff biggrin.gif
