The Thomson is quite full of features... possibly Maxis Engineer doesn't know how to optimise it.

I managed to get FOC number change at Maxis Centre.... Not many numbers left to choose actually.

IPTV is still in the early testing stages by the Maxis staff... Most probably available to public end of the year or even in 2013.

Using TP-Link now...

still same....i think the major problem come from their server...
*
Good then.... don't need to buy a new router this weekend.
F*ck Maxis then.... i think Maxis is tracking our usage (8 servers/hops before reaching the Internet)

* Don't forget to post some test results @ http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2441911 *

Does using VPN services (like BolehVPN, MyTunnel, ...) eliminate problems with slow browsing and disconnection from filehosting sites ?

Guys, while trying to add the DNS as per the instruction on the first page, I accidentaly cleared all the router DNS including those for VOIP and IPTV.

Can anyone do a "dns server route list" check for me and paste the result here so that I can add those DNS back to the router via telnet?

Thanks!

told you guys oledi, not thomson router problem... it's the maxis server centre issue

the reason cs keep blaming thomson router is to make their life easy... somemore they can keep changing the thomson router for you

if the cs tell you the truth, that maxis server got problem, they would get the blame... and you'll keep calling them asking for status
*
What do you suggest we do to alleviate the problem ?
Complain to MCMC ?

Seems like Maxis FTTH got so many problem. Now I am in dilemma, should I continue with Maxis or keep with my Unifi? Coz tomorrow is my installation date already ......
*
If you can handle the disconnection, you should be fine with Maxis Home Fibre.
Think of all the free calls you can make...

p.s. AK is selling his Maxis shares.... hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

what are the readings obtained by the tm guys?

the reading should be below 20dBM, anything above 25dBM is bad and shouldn't get installed in the first place.
*
You mean line attenuation reading of <20dBM, right ?

There's a load balance for the router on the 2nd hop after the Thomson router.
- 58.71.244.1
- 58.71.243.137

The reason quoted by LYN user is the Fast vs Interleaved issue on the VDSL end.
