bandar utama

u have to "isolate" the problem. you must test with another PC/device
*
really, nothing to do with device... the thomson engineer was here and his analysis points to maxis server centre... one of the ip in maxis server centre having the loss of packets

maybe your bandar utama areas does not use the problematic ip or assigned to a different server

my area is in cheras/kajang... i was told mine is hooked up to the maxis server center at sungai besi

for those of you facing the same issue, can you please share with me you area? tq

i just tried thestar and i middle click as many link as i can. (about 10 tabs or more)  Every page loads within a few sec but no hang or freezes. i use firefox. My only complain is when some streaming website such as dailymotion where sometimes buffering stops and i have to refresh the page. Imo this should buffer really fast.

Added on July 23, 2012, 6:22 pmAlso, signal and latency keeps fluctuating when i am gaming. (My guess this is due to the router)
*
are you clicking the same link? make sure you click different link everytime... and clean your cache when you try it

sri damansara area. Chrome browser. The page loads eventually although it took some time.
*
so this means you do experience intermittent loss of signals

it's not 100% of the time, but at least 50% of the time

it's getting worst on weekends, starting friday

you can try it on and off... it is there

like me, i am doing work for hours opening new link continuously.. so i feel it more often

your experience is a little bit different i guess, my case at times the page load, but most of the time it freeze/hang, never load at all

Same issue here. Landed and from klang

haha... thanks for update

another proof that maxis ftth really has problem when browsing... really something is very wrong in the maxis server centre

those who has yet to experience it, you'll get it one fine day

i somehow believe it is widespread problems, every users(landed and highrise) and irrespective of areas(based on random areas compilation i got)... except they've yet to encounter it... because it depends on your surfing habit... and you may not able to generate it during random test coz it is not happening 24x7... but most probably during peak period where the server overload, weekends especially... like now way past midnight, it is smooth sailing because the maxis server is not overload

somehow i encounter it everyday constantly due to my surfing habit, and my continuous, non-stop long hours surfing

Always.

Anyways, submitted complaint in CFM.
*
keep us posted when it is solved... mine still not solved... case number opened, no one dare to call me because cannot be solved!

and as confirmed by the thomson engineer, it's the maxis server centre problem

for those of you complaining about maxis ftth customer service, this is 3rd time i am telling you guys... it is outsourced to contractor... that is why super bad service, minimum 10 minutes waiting time

i've suggested we should email to maxis customer service to complain on such issue, but it seems to fall in deaf ears... so no use for you guys keep on complaining here, maxis is unaware of their contractor bad service... we've to be united in order to be strong force... otherwise it's a waste of time for everyone

QUOTE(Isky @ Jul 26 2012, 02:41 PM)
It doesn't matter if it is outsourced. As far as the consumer is concerned, the service center IS Maxis. The onus is on Maxis to ensure that the service quality of its outsource provider is on par with what the customer expects from Maxis (which nowadays seems to be lower than it used to be). Maxis would have established certain performance criteria with its outsource providers as well. As for Maxis not aware of CS issues, I doubt thought since service outsourcing usually includes provisions for service quality monitoring. Though if it is true that Maxis is clueless of CS issues, than someone somewhere in Maxis should be fired.

It appears that Maxis is facing a level of service quality issues that it did not anticipate nor adequately prepare for. It's either not enough CS staff, too many incoming calls, unable to identify and fix technical faults, or more likely a combination of all those factors.
*
it's no doubt maxis responsibility

what good is it to argue whose responsibility and complaining about listening to music when contacting the cs?

i would rather go to proper channel to complaint about the service... and then if there is no action taken by maxis after so many people complaining to them(with proof), then further action can be taken

it would help everyone of us, maxis ftth users if you take a minute to email the maxis customer service about this issue... it's more productive than you complaining here or arguing about whose responsibility

let's assume maxis aware of it but do nothing... at least with the spike of email complaints, they'll take more serious of the issue... otherwise they may think this is minor issue since no one complaining... hence the "tidak apa" attitude

let's assume maxis not aware of this issue... i guess i do not need to elaborate on this... those who sent email to complain is doing good deeds, helping everyone of us

we're here to solve problems, not finding fault... if you really want to find fault or pointing fingers, then let's do it in the coming general election... you should know all these stinking incompetencies and monopolies is created by who else but....

I realise that it takes a while for a page to load after clicking on a link. Like 10 seconds or more.

Actually it loads fast, but it's like it takes a moment for it to find the source or something.

Pretty annoying.
*
now only you know... another one finally found out what is happening... sometimes it hang there forever and the page never load

i've to open more than 50 pages per day... imagine the irritation... beyond annoying!

Added on July 26, 2012, 11:26 pmim kinda of regret now...although speed faster but overall browsing experience worst then my streamyx...

nothing to with night, day or noon... last few weeks it's intermittent... now it's 24x7, very consistent nowadays with new users being added daily... the maxis server is overloaded

if you want smoother surfing, try after 12 midnite when everyone titun liao... maxis server not so congested... though some guys still run their torrents non-stop.. like now 1.30am, wah so smooth, really like 10mbps

yup never happen to my streamyx 1 mbps... never happen in unifi or streamyx 512kbps

another guinness world book of records... malaysia boleh... 10 mbps but surf web take forever

not acceptable at all... you guys are browsing for leisure... i need to browse for work... damn, it really affecting my work

Using TP-Link now...

still same....i think the major problem come from their server...
*
told you guys oledi, not thomson router problem... it's the maxis server centre issue

the reason cs keep blaming thomson router is to make their life easy... somemore they can keep changing the thomson router for you

if the cs tell you the truth, that maxis server got problem, they would get the blame... and you'll keep calling them asking for status

haha.... belum kena belum tahu... sudah kena, tiap2 hari menyesal tak sudah

maxis ftth world class customer service(minimum 10 minutes waiting time)

maxis ftth guinness world book of record... taking the longest time to load a webpage for a 10mbps connection(beating the likes of streamyx 512kbps by miles)

you and your over 15 years experience also cannot handle the 'awesomeness' of maxis fibre
with all the information you gathered i think you really can cancel it with no reason ask by maxis
they should even come and apologize to you personally
*
haha... cool down!

friday joke lah... take it easy you maxis boy

you should win the maxis #1 fan award if there is one

one point though... awesome to you maybe poison to others... you think awesome because your main usage is downloading... you would mislead others whose main purpose is not downloading... be careful of what you are championing, my boy(oops.. i mean maxis boy)

if that is the case,
you have to endure 24 months of suffering...
I dont think i can endure that.

you can terminate maxis if you want without penalty
citing maxis unable to fulfill the contract?

man, now i dun know really to take the risk or not rclxub.gif
my installation early Aug
my streamyx 1m is super stable now
*
i'm using streamyx 1mbps as well before switching... yup, superb!

the main advantage for maxis ftth is fast downloading

but surfing is pain in the axx 4sure!

if u decide to switch, be prepared to face the issue head-on and hope finally maxis will solve it

yours is landed or highrise?
both custom router different settings. and tm modem oso diff.

if can solve,
then why so many people still complain about the slow website loading,
which i think is not excusable for any isp at any speed at any price.

if can solve, why not post it at the post#1 so that everyone can share

thanks in advance.
*
you can trust whoever you want, it's not about cannot open a new tab... it's the webpage take forever to load, worst than streamyx 512kbps

i've to warn you to be selective on who you can trust... you can trust them and change whatever router you want... my question is, if the problem lies in maxis server centre, will changing your router solve the problem? you do not need to be a genius to answer the question

anyway, do your own judgement.... later dun regret saying i never tell you so
