iMalaysia PAD not for the knowledgeable users. It is meant for
- morons who have no idea what other tablets alternatives are there and do not understand tech specs
- it is going to be sell to mainly Msian govt depts and the seller will make a huge profit. And most probably it will be added another few hundred ringgit of apps !!!

Ffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuu USB-OTG does not support mounting storage out of the box...
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6061/mhl-and...e-not-supported

Not all is lost though, since this is a Nexus device i'm sure mods to enable just that will be available sooner rather than later.

Out of the box, yes. But we already have root access for the N7 so Stickmount should work. If Stickmount doesn't work then someone will make something that works sooner rather than later.

The reason why Nexus series have no SD card slots is Google wants a better user experience. The storage is supposed to be automatic, you don't need to go choosing internal or external SD, everything is magic. If you look at Samsung phones, 16GB storage, maybe 2GB for data, 13GB for apps, etc. Nexus without SD card has no such problems, everything is lumped into a 16GB storage space.

You can use USB-OTG or you can get a non-Nexus device. IMO cloud storage isn't a viable alternative here in Malaysia .

Here's to hoping ASUS will follow Samsung's lead by bringing the N7 to Malaysia ASAP just like how Samsung brought the Galaxy Nexus.

nope....i would said SD card storage will be more stable then onboard storage.

just a example, if you had a firmware update....there is a chance that any data/information might wipe off completely as it will warn u when u doing those firmware update things

even u hav a firmware corrupt, you will still able to get back the data in micro sd by putting it at other device of card reader to retrive it at desktop
*
firmware update wont affect your gallery , song , picture , game data even with the onboard storage.
