All of them also phone ui?

Does any one of them has tablet ui? Or the option change?

WiFi only device don't have imei number. Only serial number.
You can check your serial number at the box, or in your tablet, go settings, about tablet, status

Had a really bad day wit the tablet mode. From now on I'll stick to the default phone mode of nexus 7

First I have market issues, solved by clear data of play store and Google service framework. But problem return after a day.

Did the deodex thing n tried the true tablet ui patch.
The home screen was screw up. Widgets size are wrong and icons that have long name will overlap each other. Terrible. Worst than DPI tablet mode.

Now back to phone ui. After some customization, the phone ui looks not bad:-)

No, I was at 177. That's the largest value for tablet ui.
I prefer that cos the fonts are bigger.

There is no slowdown, hang, or buggy issues, all apps run fine
Just that some apps, tegra 3 apps to be specific says incompatible in play store. Example dark meadow, dead trigger, nvidia zone.

To fix I need to change back 213 DPI. Clear data for market n Google service framework. Restart and the market is good for tegra3 apps.

After that change back to whatever DPI I like also no problem.
But after a day, it list not compatible again in market, so weird.
Downloaded content still works though, my dead trigger still working fine.

I tried the tablet ui patch, it was horrible, the home screen is complete wrong. Its reported issue, cn check in the xda thread.

Previously I tried glazed ROM which is based on sgt7, the ROM you recommend.
Glazed ROM description mention if has all Sgt features and added some of his own.

The tablet ui in glazed was terrible. Its just a partial ui.
Kinda like a half baked ROM that is flooded by nice animations but its still buggy.

I'll try using the phone ui for few days first.
Getting used to it. The 2 things I hate is the bottom bar is too tick, especially in landscape mode.
And no more brightness slider in notification bar.

you have the gallery empty issue too?

open rom manager then close it.
it should appear in your recent app list.

long press the rom manager icon at recent app,
tap app info.

then tap uninstall updates.

and the saddest part is this dpi makes the stock keyboard too small.

anyway, i stopped using dpi change. tried stock 213dpi and the phone UI,
rearrange my homescreen to fit 6x6 grid.
it was weird at first but i gotten used to it.

then i reflashed glazed rom that i tried few days back.
back then i hate that rom alot cos i feel cheated with its 'full tablet UI' label.
its not tablet UI, its just stock 213 dpi with the bottom bar modified to be tablet UI.
apps, and the home screen all still remains stock phone UI.

but now since i am used to phone UI, i dont mind it anymore.

this GLAZED rom is amazing.
some extra features that is has that is not present in stock rom:
~faster nicer shorter animations, gives the feel tablet is faster
~able to toggle phone/tablet UI on the fly, no need restart
~able to hide bottom bar via power button options. this is the most amazing thing! i can play dead trigger in FULL SCREEN. wohoo.... no more accidentally activate google now when i panic. by the way it works seamlessly, instant pop up and instant vanish, no lag. even on 3D heavy games like dead trigger.
~volume slider in notification bar.

3 bugs do exist, but there are minor:
~one animations style when moving in settings menu is screw up
~rom version number incorrect, its a typo,
~status bar icon is slightly cut off in phone UI, no a prob since i use tablet UI.

so far not bugs or market issues. no wonder this rom gets lots of hits in xda. one of the fav most downloaded.




Add: latest montly kernal solved the screen washout after video playback issue. screen appear normal after video playback.

Nope. Touch sensivity is the same.

But I feel my screen overall color abit different than usual.
Hard to describe, not sure its better or worst. Red color is more vibrant than usual, but the white looks different.
Maybe is the ROM I using, it says got Sony bravia engine.

yes. scratch resistant, not scratch proof.
i read many cases where gorila glass also can get minor scratch.
at least in S2 thread. other hp i duno.

for hp i got apply.
for tablet no lo, i feel its safe inside the case.
less prone to scratches compare to phone.

but i still prefer to get one if can find cheap one.

i never really time it before. i predict around 2 hours
now i have 42%, i let it charge 1 hour and see how much it increase.

why not use the default ICS stock browser?
its holo theme and very fast and stable, flash works fine one it.

at least the UI is similar to chrome.
tabs at the top. not confusing

Added on August 20, 2012, 11:34 ambought a cheapo RM10 USB gamepad.

unfortunately only the up down left right keys works :-(
the right side 4 buttons no response.

in SNesoid, i tried to map the actions keys, but it says unknown.
sigh...was really hoping it will work.

so guys do not buy this model, it will not work.
