Daikin is using normal gas right? My Daikin inverter is using normal gas. not special gas like panasonic inverter/ thats what my installer told me. does this effect the cooling time?
Agree with this. if you dont need extra function, the basic model is more than enough.
Basic model suits the normal usage purpose. and save your budget as well.
not really. daikin and panasonic is basically the same price. except your installer can get special price for specific brands, then it would make you think that brand a bit cheaper than another.
Another point to consider when using inverter AC is whether the HP can acomodate your space or not. If your air condition is too small for the space, it will work hard to cool the space down, hence the compressor will run full load all the time. If the AC power is ok, then the inverter will kick in and use less  energy.

In our hot country weather, to make sure inverter run, at night temperature set around 25-27 will help to save more energy. anything lower might consume more power because the compressor works harder to maintain the cooling temperature.

you are living in condo right? do you install mosquitos net on your window? Just open window la at night then you will feel natural aircon even colder than aircon and it's free liao. I just sleep in my living room last night very cold liao with window open. syukur

then your window ventilation not useful.

How does this help to cool down faster ?  Instead will that cause more loading to your air-cond ?

imagine i turn on my aircon every night from 10PM to 7AM morning.
my previous bill RM180 per month, after install Panasonic 1.5HP Aircon - inverter.
my electric billl RM120>Rm130 per month.

Use your favourite lor.  Inverter aircon. Don't forget the R410a gas.

I have 2 old York air-cond. Outdoor unit noisy. Have to change the rubber. Do the new Daikin/York unit have this same issue ? Thanks !

Have one pana >10 years old, outdoor unit still quiet. But do not like their indoor unit which gives problems. 

Still considering 2hp inverter unit:

Panasonic:  may not be that reliable with all the gimmicks ? more expensive
Daikin/York: Good ?
Hitachi/Mitsubishi: may have spare part problem ?

Heard there are 2 Daikins out there. Contractor quoted 2 prices. Daikin and Daikin GA. So the old Daikin still out there ?

So old Daikin built by which factory in M'sia ? Last time (>10 years ago ??) people said Daikin good for air-cond. So now NG ? Never installed one after I bought my house.

ME wise, not many shops doing it. Have one before that lasted >13 years.

any comment on the Daikin inverter that uses R22 gas? My house come with R22 piping and if re-do the piping, need 500-800 for 2 unit of air-cond. Is it worth to re-do the piping?

Daikin's R22 unit should be very efficient and u dont need to redo ur pipings. But why is R 22 piping expensive ? Did the contractor mistaken with r410 A ?  Should be much cheaper !
