Thanks guys for the pacing advise. I guess I'll have to learn through experience.

QUOTE(heliora10 @ Oct 12 2012, 02:13 )
i just checked out your runkeeper logs, pretty good for someone who just started man, also you run at DPC almost every morning, maybe i'll join you instead of going all the way to KLCC park sometimes haha.

anyway Nike run is about 10.6km i believe, i mapped it out, which pisses me off since if it's stated 10km so why add that 600m which is a huge difference mad.gif. so to achieve sub-1hr you need an average pace of 5min39sec, good luck with that!
*
Feel free to drop me a message if u want to run at DPC together.

I plan weekends at least 1 run to be 2 hours. If I have strength after Nike run tomorrow, sun morning should be doing a LSD there. Need practice for next week putrajaya night run. I have never run that kind of distance yet unsure.gif

Been raining 1 hour+ in Kepong. Very heavy earlier, but now slowing down.

Lucky old shoes still around, guess i'll use it to go slow and easy in the rain. Not sure muddy or not, or worse flood. haha

As this is my first event run, I have no complains except queue for toilet is super long. Lucky we managed to sneak into hotel toilet whistling.gif

Crowd wise is quite a lot. Mostly college students. Can see buses from Tar College.

From my position to the starting point takes about 6 minutes (based on my gps finishing time vs end gate time) sweat.gif

Today's run was a good experience for me. I burned quite a lot of energy at the first 3km doing zig zag passing people and also jumping on and off the side pathway. Really not a good idea cause by the time 5th km, I already feel tired. Had to stop 3 times for drink sweat.gif

Stats for my run:

Upon finishing the ending line @ Padang Merbok. It was so freaking muddy. No way you can avoid it. They give away water, banana, ice cream and even free ChaTime thumbup.gif

As for the finishing Tee...

Overall I enjoyed it, and lucky the rain stopped. Now I have less than 1 week to prepare my first Putrajaya night rung 21km. Never run so far, gonna be tough... but looking fwd rclxm9.gif

PS: It was nice meeting fellow lynr runners

Hey, I got complete it with very slow 1:20 hours. Just now I`m very unlucky, first my huaraches lace is lose at 3KM, so I have to sit down & tying my lace. 2nd times my lace is broken at 8KM place & my bib is gone!! OMG!!  cry.gif  doh.gif , so I have to pick up my huaraches & run (2.6KM) with barefoot until end. But good news is the sole is very good, already run more than 10KM still looks good!! Hm... I need to find a good laces for it after this. Will report here again with my next test, maybe BSN HF 21KM, lol!!!

Here I got something need to shoot about Nike, I think I will not join next year run:

1. The finish line is suck!! All the runners stuck there because of want get a mineral water, actually inside also got water, why still want to make all the runners jam there???

2. The muddy is a nightmare to all runners shoes!!! Lucky I`m barefoot there!!

3. The line up for collect finish T is a nightmare too!! More than 5,000 runners line up to collect it, totally jam like hell!!

4. The last hell part is need wait 1 hour for the bus, but there is still no guarantee got bus coming. Because the crew told me outside are very jam until the bus cannot come in. So, I have to run again from Padang Merbuk to KLCC!! Damn, I think the distance should be around 3- 5KM.
*
Glad you are alright. I kind of worry seeing you with that huaraches sweat.gif

With such trouble and barefoot, you still wanna do it again at 21km... haha

In the instructions, they say attire is official singlet. I wonder is it a must. If not, then I'll wear my own shirt.

Glad you managed to buy the last pants smile.gif
