QUOTE(ameiruddin @ Jul 9 2012, 11:46 AM) gd morning, previans Without using the keyfob, I believe it's not do-able just to check, i can't get the info from the manual book, can we switch ON the HU without inserting the keyless fob/switch ON the engine? meaning unlock the car and just switch ON the HU QUOTE(Dark Adam @ Jul 9 2012, 12:00 PM) do you guys practice to set your lamp and wiper for auto? is there any pro n con using auto for lamp? like lamp lifespan will be lesser since its keep on n off by itself.. any advise? Less use generally means longer life. I used to have both auto light/wiper all the time but recently think it's unnecessary to have lights on during cloudy days. |

From the manual, I read that Preve Premium's specifications:
- kerb weight = 1340 kg - gross weight = 1705 kg Am puzzled how Proton came up with this figure. Where does this difference of 360 kg come from? Surely the coolant, fuel, engine oil, gear oil can't be this heavy. QUOTE(ameiruddin @ Jul 9 2012, 02:05 PM) nope...not yet do any mechanical or electrical modd. to the car, yesterday discovered during wash the car Your find intrigued me. So I went down to my car and tested. Stab the button a few times and the HU started without requiring the keyfob to be inserted. Then I started the car. Stopped the engine and removed keyfob. HU didn't automatically shut down. This post has been edited by BartS: Jul 9 2012, 02:17 PM |

QUOTE(multiplexer @ Jul 9 2012, 02:51 PM) ive read somewhere, the campro cfe is 75% reworked from the original model of campro cps.. the piston, the bar, all have been hardened.. u could try to search for a pdf file named proactive_issue_43_web.pdf.. it contain the inside out of campro cfe from lotus themself.. Is that in relation to my earlier query on kerb vs gross weight? Shouldn't be related to engine. QUOTE(DryCell @ Jul 9 2012, 03:04 PM) No lah bro. I did 210kmh in NSE and quite regularly do 180-190 so far no problem. Just saman only. Nothing too extreme. Theres a photo uploaded by one guy in FB this guy driving Evo or LGT im not sure, he was caught speeding at 248kmh. Good to know but if not mistaken, they have legal jurisdiction to 'chop mati' if they so desire. |

QUOTE(Area51SE @ Jul 9 2012, 06:53 PM) Guys I just took a video of My Preve cranking sound. Please tune your volume higher as the video sound is quite soft...Please notice the RPM meter and the Engine cranking sound too. Would this be considerate as OVW problem? That's weird. Tachometer speed dropped from 800 to 400 rpm when it occurred. Not sure what it is. If I have to venture a guess, I would say overcrank. Best send it to SC asap. Btw, how did you anticipate it would happen? Does it happen all the time for you? According to bro Mat, if it happens regularly throughout different times of the day, it should be OVW. QUOTE(thebugbud @ Jul 9 2012, 09:59 PM) Had my wife to look around and the wind noise seems to come from the sun visor area and it's quite pronounce though especially running at 115k/h and above.. One good way to test is to get some tape and temporarily apply it to the suspected area. If that stops the wind noise, you have found the spot. On next service, point that out to the service personnel & demand that it be rectified. This post has been edited by BartS: Jul 9 2012, 10:01 PM |

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Jul 10 2012, 02:25 PM) im always a more pessimistic person. i personally would assume that its void. berani buat berani tanggung la. Yeah, have to agree with that. Berani buat, berani tanggung. Just have to determine the scope of what gets void. Perhaps just these .. anyway, if he say no void, then something happen, you bring to sc and sc say void, tak kan u wan to argue with him tht the accs shop say nt void kan? makes not sense la... * Head Unit (this shouldnt bother too many people) * Possible dashboard 'krek krek' sound from 3rd party dismantling. * And all electrical components with a direct electrical connection to the wire that got tapped. I'm assuming it would be from wire that connects to reverse light or sensors. This post has been edited by BartS: Jul 10 2012, 02:38 PM |

QUOTE(Rick Federer @ Jul 10 2012, 04:34 PM) today morning, overcrank sound again when start car although this overcrank never happened for the past 7 days after changed OWV. I do have the same feeling that the overcrank was due to choke being set to rev higher during cold start or maybe set to crank the engine extra 3-5 seconds to ensure the engine is started up with One Single Push Start. It only happens when the auto-choke tries to rev it near 3K rpm. So far, it only happened twice; both times in the first week of receiving the car. I have been monitoring my every start. No more high auto-choked revs, no more overcrank. But if that is so, then why for the first 7 days this overcrank did not happen although there were cold starts? When I first got my new car, it never happened until 2 weeks later and it just got more frequent and it became worse when the engine needed 12-15 seconds to start up each morning. I will have to monitor whether the engine will have difficulty starting up in the coming weeks. If there isn't, then my OWV issue is solved and it is confirmed that the choke and ecu settings for cold starts do trigger the overcranking to ensure single push start-up. By the way, my 1st full tank still have 3 blocks left since replaced OWV and I have already done 200km where I would have normally finished all 8 blocks last time. So I am sure my FC is better now after replaced OWV. |
