the beta's are only a fixed period? like beta weekends? means you can't enter the game when its not in the schedule?
Early stage of alpha and beta is like that. After some tweaking, can play 24/7 until next stage Final Fantasy X|V: A Realm Reborn v6, Phase 3 Test #1 ENDS! See u next Friday!

QUOTE(Ken.shin- @ Feb 27 2013, 07:58 PM) Oh, didnt know about that. Hopefully the next phase will be 24/7. Hope to get the key by that stage. Wouldn't mind if I can access phase 1 either. Well Phase 1 and Phase 2 will be limited time only, you're looking for Phase 3 then, which might take 2-3 more months depending oon how Phase 1 and Phase 2 is. |

You don't really need to get SSD hardrive anyway. But loading stuffs that installed in that hardrive will be fast. Especially when you boot your PC it will load-up in to Windows less than 1 minute if you install Windows in that drive.
Boot up with SSD HDD vs SSD boot up Mine only 120Gb SSD This post has been edited by Arzwart: Feb 27 2013, 10:41 PM |

installing the os on a ssd will only increase boot time and the speed of the os.
however, if you're talking about putting games into ssd, it'll only speed up map loading. on the fps factor, no difference. using a 120gb intel 330, hoping to upgrade soon, but money. sigh. |

True, in ARR is completely not neseccary to have SSD, really! however, if you're talking about putting games into ssd, it'll only speed up map loading. on the fps factor, no difference. using a 120gb intel 330, hoping to upgrade soon, but money. sigh. |

QUOTE(Ken.shin- @ Feb 27 2013, 11:40 PM) installing the os on a ssd will only increase boot time and the speed of the os. Actually that is only partially right and particularly for offline games . however, if you're talking about putting games into ssd, it'll only speed up map loading. on the fps factor, no difference. using a 120gb intel 330, hoping to upgrade soon, but money. sigh. It is sort of different for MMORPG. Many of the big scale MMO are like over 20 GB ish now . As you started a game , the game will only preload the information of your character's position . But as you walk around and exploring new places, meeting up with new characters , your PC is constantly reading more data from the HDD for the environment. In the process if the client is of massive scale and any data reading delay will cause slow down , stuttering and occasionally crashes and other problems. Developers from SWTOR has once said that SSD is one of the best investment for MMORPG performance ( to date SWTOR is one of the larger mmo around with 33 GB ) . Developers from TSW ( another A++ graphic MMORPG , at almost 50 GB client ) has also commend on the same statement before . The fact that SSD is still light years ahead of the fastest HDD around , I have no doubt it will show improvement on Mediocre range of PC for games like FF14 . Although if you have a pretty damn good rig around , you will likely notice very little improvement from the SSD beside reduced loading time . That is also one reason why mmorpg is unable to look like Crysis . This post has been edited by Convael: Feb 28 2013, 03:51 AM |

I read somewhere that there is an older game with such system even before GW2 is released. Correct me if wrong.Online games nowadays are basically duplicates of each another. Not surprising. Developers are running out of idea. |

FATE may have derived from GW2, this is true, but GW2's PE derives from Warhammer and Rift.... .

warhammer is the first with those events, rift just copy and make it better ^^. rift "fate" is nice because u can go there n open it and u can even open harder one which give more reward, actually ffxiv should copy ffxi BCNM,
BCNM is a place where players with their seals collected from normal monster to go and fight certain boss arena. Which give random reward, n sometimes a very rate mats to craft good armor. i really enjoy this in ffxi i think they should have this on ffxiv |
