before you guys ask, i'll say this history lesson first.

FFXIV suppose to only have 1 region server, which is situated in JPN. All NA/EU/JP play in one region, and is still capable to do so.

This having Region server is not really a must, just something to do with PvP, we are still capable of playing anyway, ofcourse for us, best server are JPN server, the ping is damn good compare to average NA server  we get like 100ms - 250ms for JPN server, but i'm still withholding to see where the SEA players will go instead of jumping ship to NA servers.

Just a reminder it doesn't matter what server NA, EU or JPN, in this type of game unless u want to PvP, than ur concern for better ping is always revelant. MMORPG PvE doesn't really need that good ping rate, Also!

We do not know yet which server is which.

If the old server name didnt change,

I'm going to transfer to Masamune.

Ofcourse there will be new server, but i'll give eq and $$ support for Msia Players to be in Masamune

Don't simply choose country hor!    The country choice greatly affects your payment methods. But I dunno which one in NA is the best. Awaiting those who know!

For phase 1 is 100,000 players, so they are doing testing on it...

In the latest producer letter, Yoshi remarks are below;

a) Around 100,000 Players were invited.
b) They've tested the first few weeks and have problem with login and tested the occurance of FATE to an extent to see how many players will drop/crash/dc when there many FATE occured.
c) Last testing phase will commence this weekend to test, so they have come out announcement of it testing scope precisely.

Depends on the market, since is just phase 1, and they might have specific thing to test out lol, will see how Phase 2 goes... and phase 3 will have both PC and PS3 users.. would nett around 800k ppl maybe!

Phase 4 will have more people in it

I'll be buying the PS3 version also when launch is nearing ^^b

Its all depend on how much are you willing to spend on gaming .

And when they are charging for games, you can almost be assured of one thing.  Free of infestation from typical Pinoy (Filipino ) gamers .
I am pretty sure majority of us had some extremely unpleasant experience with any players from that region.
Plus they can only afford to play F2P games , therefore its an assurance at least.
