hi to all.. add me Pebble Blue 16GB ..
Guys, I'm facing a rooting issue. - previously succeed in rooting my S3 by following Chain Fire rooting process - then I update to latest firmware via Kies PC without unroot my S3 - after successfully updated to latest firmware, expected..lost my root - now trying to re-root by following Chain Fire rooting process as per below *copy & paste - Follow these instructions to the letter. Do not touch any buttons or checkboxes that are not listed below to touch! - Unzip the attached Odin3-vX.X.zip file - Download and unzip the CF-Root-SGS3-vX.X.zip file (see posts below this one) - If you end up with a recovery.img and cache.img file, you've extracted twice. You need to end up with a .tar file - don't extract that one - (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer - Start Odin3-vX.X.exe (am using Odin3-v1.85) - Click the PDA button, and select CF-Root-SGS3-vX.X.tar (am using CF-SGS3-CWM-v5.5-v1.2.tar) - Put your phone in download mode (turn off phone, then hold volume-down + home + power to boot - if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button, or run adb reboot download command) - (USB) Connect the phone to your computer - Make sure Repartition is NOT checked - Click the Start button - Wait for Android to boot - Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you need practise!) but now, whenever I clicked on the Start Button, after more than 30 seconds, the Odin will show the word Failed. Am I missing something? Is it due to this rooting process aren't compatible with the latest firmware? This post has been edited by etap: Jun 25 2012, 04:55 PM |
