I am wonder whether Samsung break the rooting using this method or not, it happen before in my previous S2-G where need downgrade to older firmware version before root using Odin actually work.

That why I always encourage user, once you already in root, update firmware via Mobile Odin Pro only, as it can pre-root. Don't use PC Odin and don't use Kies. Just download the complete firmware from sammobile, I know it is big but it reduce all hassle that you probably face now.

i was update using OTA last night and straight go and root again .. no problem at all... when you go into the download mode and connect your phone to the pc.. the odin show the green colour and stated com port number or not?

suspect driver problem..

Once phone is connected, in Odin under ID:COM it shows 0:[COM25] with Yellow color background.

How to check whether Samsung driver is installed and vice versa?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm trying to learn few things on android.

go control panel > programs and feature (if you using windows 7, else windows xp then add or remove programs)
check whether got samsung usb driver or not, if don't have download from 1st page
