never thought that that game file so large eh...

bro..my max payne 3 also stuck in the river in chapter 5...reAson is we r using the old version..dont update the patch when prompt to update(press cancel).this is what i did to solve it:

download the update and crack(torrent) v1.0.0.22
http://malaysiabay.org/torrent/7336084/Max...0.0.22-RELOADED

install the update..
if you have copy the 'profile' to the rockstar file in the document before this, you dont need to copy the profile again.
copy all the files from the crack to the installation files..

still must play in offline mode..

and problem solved...
recently, reloaded has released a new patch v1.0.0.28..dont update to this patch yet..still not confirm that this patch will work(thats why need to play offline because the updater will prompt to update to this patch(and game wont work)

the v1.0.0.22 is excellent so far

8GB RAM is the way to go my friends. 4GB not enough one. I took 4GB 1600 High Performance Kingston from itking when I got G55VW directly lol

ykgen, in order to run in dual channel, you need to slot in 2 rams at the same channel slots.

Meaning, the maintenance rams slot is channel 1. The non accessible ram slot is channel 2.

So what you are doing now is having 2 ram on 2 different channel. So that is why you are not in dual channel. The only way to rectify this is:-

i) Buy another ram with the same size and speed and put into your maintenance ram slot. (12GB RAM total)
ii) Open up the non accessible ram slot and put in your new ram to make it dual channel (8GB RAM total)
iii) Same as ii but pull it out and put into your maintenance ram slot to make it dual channel (8GB RAM total)

Hope this helps.

PS: RAM must be same size and speed, else dual channel won't activate. Brands usually wont be an issue but recommended same brand. That is why Dual Channel RAM they sell in pairs. Still wont be a big issue.

no, it should run at dual channel...12gb of ram will also run in dual channel..maybe the ram you bought tak ngam with the default ram
asus arranged the ram in a different way:
slot1: nonaccessible slot
slot2: accessible slot
slot3: nonaccessible slot
slot4: accessible slot

..you must have put your ram in the slot 4..so you just need to change the extra rem to the another accessible slot(slot 2)

yes,dual fan..you can try ripping apart your g55 to have a look at the dual fan

ermmm may i ask wads the diff between single and dual channel? and if i bought a kingston 1333 4gb ram is it better to have dual or single channel?

haha i am upgrading to 12gb ram...anyways no i pay wan it is my mom who is paying...

Oh, I didnt know how they setup the ASUS G55 RAM channel slots. So, are you telling me:-

Non Accessible Slot
Slot 1 - Channel 1
Slot 2 - Channel 2

Maintenance Bay
Slot 1 - Channel 1
Slot 2 - Channel 2

Is that what you are saying Arvin? So meaning by removing the RAM to another slot will rectify the problem and activate the dual channel?

Lolx, will do some research when I have time. The problem with mSata is no shop is selling without going thru eBay or COD. I prefer buy from shops so can easily RMA and after service stuff. Will keep you posted if I have any info.

this one means that the battery wont be charged once it fulls. thus won't spoil ur battery even though u didn't take out the battery and it is still plugged in.. good asus
