Both about the same, live got bigger screen and walkman features. But more expensive.
For me I say xperia mini got slightly better value for money.

their spec almost the same, but live is slightly better
got walkman which the audio quality is better than mini, confirmed
and screen is better
if your budget is limited, get xperia mini
else your budget not limited and audio quality is important for you, get live

if you scare drop, can try xperia active
and don't worry about sony spare part, easy to get

at 1st i wanna buy galaxy W but my housemate said "dont la, you gay ah want to use same phone". haha so that's why i look at ace plus. now im 70% into neo v because of the 2nd camera, video recording and reso. thanks!

The sony xperia U looks interesting but it has no microSD slot...xperia ray looks good but no 3.5mm jack. any similar models at similar price?

- huge screen if yu r suggesting a touchsreen phone as she need her glasses to type and for typing message through d small qwerty keypad
- good battery usage
- can whatsapp
- good/average camera
- simple usage/OS

Additional info: I'm buying a phone for my mother.. Before this she's use to d old nokia with 3x4 keypad which just got broken.. She wanted a new phone, touchscreen.. but im afraid she'll get tired of using it because of its complicated usage as she didn't even know how to topup her old phone by herself

But do note that atrix won't get official ICS update. Unofficial 1 already got though.
But despite that, it's still a very good deal!

-Motorola atrix. Good spec, 4" screen.
-SE xperia arc S. Good camera, 4.2" screen.
-SE xperia pro. Good camera, slide-out physical qwerty keypad and 3.7" screen.
-Used Samsung galaxy note. 5.3" screen.
-Blackberry torch 9860? Blackberry I'm not that sure, dunno got whatsapp or not.
