Hello there guys, this is my 1st time posting here, sorry to just barge in like this, but as for now, I would be very glad if anyone here can give tips and what to look for if I were to find a new handphone. My LG Shine is old and battered already :/

1. Brand.
Anything will do, but if possible not Samsung (just a preference)

2. Budget.
< MYR 1,500

3. Specs.
Customizable (in terms of interface and yadda yadda yadda)
Nice camera
Free GPS
Awesome WiFi connection
No lagging
etc

4. Type/Size. (Candybar, Clamshell etc...)
Smaller would be better, and if possible I am also going for looks. I always prefer an angular looks rather than a circular ones. Much edgy IMO

seems that new stock for ORIGINAL Nokia N8 might be hard to find already...

better go for Nokia Lumia 800 or 900  

nope... as we know.. the 808 Pureview is harder to find than Nokia N8 ..

and yes.. WP 7.5 has some limitation..

Hi , looking for a new phone .

1. any brand should be ok , except samsung , really bad experience with that brand
2.budget less then 1k
3. specs :

-mostly going to use for basic stuff , not really for gaming
-thinking bout front camera .
-average screen , not too small, will be using as ebook reader . also small screen susah to type.
-decent battery life
-camera should be decent , no need very high quality stuff.
-dont really need deep social integration , dont use facebook , twitter that much .
-need radio.
4. normal shape.

I noe , seems like long list , but its my first smartphone, so just want to be thorough, plus , will buying for long term usage ( a few years at least)

actually was considering xperia sola , but the let down was no front camera. desire v looked good too , but same problem

desire s . hmm really didnt cross my mind , but ill have a look. does it get ICS ?

btw , do you think front camera is really important ? not really sure if i need it .

I've used BlackBerry and iPhone but I've never owned an Android smartphone before. The ICS looks attractive and cool and that's why I'm considering getting my first Android.

I don't even own an Android tablet so this would be perfect to add to my collection.

I've considered Samsung Galaxy Note, Sony Xperia Acro S and also Samsung Galaxy SIII

I've heard some rumours that the SIII is rather flimsy but then again my 2-year-old iPhone 4 (which I dropped on roads from my car accidentally without a screen protector or case) is pretty sturdy but I do get the occasional scratch at the edge.

So far, the Note is very promising but the Sony Xperia Acro S looks even more promising.

I'm also tempted to wait for the next iPhone but it also depends whether Sony and Samsung can live up to my high expectations.

I've compared specs and pricing between the ones released already but still cannot decide. I won't get a tablet because I don't have a need for it.

Currently looking at the S2, bold 4 9900 ap, or lumia 800. Not much of a mobile gamer, I want something that has a strong battery life and able to read pdfs and words quite well. I don't mind small fonts, just something legible. Good internet browsing should also be a factor. Thanks for the recommendations!

i m so in love with lumia phones and decided to get one for myself. luckily the announcement for windows 8 came right before i buy it. Now I really don't know which phone to get

I'm using iPhone 3G & looking to change phone

I'm thinking of either Galaxy S III or iPhone 4S or wait for iPhone 5

But since I have purchased apps from app store for my productivity such as GoodReader, DocToGo, Quickoffice etc, I'm thinking of sticking back with iPhone.

But S III sounds promising & in view of the new iPhone 5 that will be released in Sept, what do u guys think?
