Seconded. Even Android's Marketplace is catching up to iOS's App Store. Soon iPhones will be like Macs in the Windows world. 90% Android, 10% iOS. At least for phones.

Yeah. That'll happen with horse can fly. 90% Android? You joking bro. Not sure if I should laugh or cry, do you think Apple will just disappear from the market?

Either s3 or nexus 4. Both are tempting device. But for s3, i rather go for note 2.

I did not say Apple will disappear from the market. I said it'll turn out like Macs. They're everywhere, but 90% of computers are still Windows-based. Android is a force to be reckoned with.

This is all about personal preference. For a PC, i need to use windows based due to compatibility with most engineering software. For a phone, i switched to Android as im bored with IOS... I have been from android (xda) ages ago, to IOS and back to android again... maybe i will be back to next gen IOS again. Trust me, both platform also very cool..

I was an iOS user ever since the 3GS was launched in Malaysia. Was amazed by the simplicity and fluidity of the OS. So I switched from Windows to Mac after my Dell laptop broke down (was a piece of krap really). I have Bootcamp for the engineering software, but I still prefer Mac OS lol. Used an Android for a while when my phone was decommissioned. There were a plethora of options, customisations and settings to be configured. But I still prefer the simplicity of iOS. Switch on and go. Still, I believe Android OS will be as ubiquitous as Windows cause of the prices and wide availability of phones.

Ya, it is just that. No point to argue which OS is better. I dont use too much customisation and stuff and my s3 is just snap on. I used to have mac ibook before, boot time alot faster than windows but too bad i dont like dual boot to use my other software... and the price for apple product is just too high, they are more like splash on marketting for the same specs.

That's the problem, price is quite exorbitant. Even with an easy-to-use interface, they should price their products competitively (like iPad), but iPhones and MacBooks are still quite pricey. When people are looking to buy a new laptop, their budget is around 3k-4k, not 5k-7k lol. But then again, it's still up to personal preference. I don't mind adding a thousand to my budget to get something that I like.

Ya. Historically apple doesnt really come down on their price fast as they dominant this OS. While windows platform does as too many competitors around.. I still remember i got this compaq lappy for around rm8k back in 2002.. Lol

Holy hell lol, that's expensive. I got this IBM laptop for 5k. Died a year later, after warranty was over. They told me I need to pay 3k for the mobo replacement. Went to Toshiba, then Dell, then Mac lol.

iPhones may be expensive as they rarely drop in price but I dont think they were overpriced. In comparison, what do you get from the likes of Nokia, HTC, SE etc.

Almost everyone had to change their business model with Apple offering. Google's Android rise change this picture somewhat but still decent offering from Apple side. If only our government encourage competition then this might be very different picture. We just have to look at our neighbours iPhone pricing structure to see how much telco is ripping us off.

I thought IBM was good, until it died a year after I use, right after the warranty was over. Sad. But the Toshiba is still working now, even after 8 years, I think. Or maybe 9 lol. I think it depends on luck whether you get a good unit or a bad one lol.

True, that's why I'm willing to pay a premium buying an iPhone. They don't plummet in value like other products.

Yup. to me, for now, i like IOS and S3. Just that Apple tend to have different strategy for Malaysia market, i cant wait too long and wont pay premium for black market. Besides ios has no major improvement since... other than aesthetic design... I might switch back to IOS again for iphone 6, who knows. Well, i owned an ipad anyway. Haha

Lol, I won't pay resellers and I can wait. Good combination I have lol. iOS has reached its pinnacle. I think it needs a radical transformation now, like from Mac OS Classic to OS X.
