Yeah, that's why he can only copy whatever new technology that Apple bring to the world because he can't even pronounce his product name correctly  biggrin.gif  (joking)  If I not mistaken the CEO is a Korean right, then it might be the accent problem  hmm.gif

Korean company ma, what to do tongue.gif

But that statement: 'Designed for humans' really ticked me off the first time I heard it.

Of all the offensive statements here targeted at Samsung, this one takes the cake. So what is the correct way to pronounce Galaxy? Is it your way? American way? British way? Bahasa way? Korean way? This really reaffirms the opinion that iFans are a bunch of arrogant SOBs. I never believed it much but now I do. Fans who think they know it all and act like they're above others. POS.

This is an Apple thread. Definitely there is a bias towards Apple's iPhones instead. Do you seriously think that an Apple fan would recommend a Galaxy S3 over the iPhone? Obviously not, even a 10 years old child can tell you that. And IF you are not a droidfag, why bother defending your so called 'humans only' phone here in an Apple thread? What is your purpose of flaming the Apple community here? Is it wrong to be bias towards a preferred brand? I don't see why people like to create unrest of such petite issue and not to mention, barging into your rival brand's thread and make yourself look like a fool?

You all have your own bias-ness towards your own products, we have ours. It doesn't matter how we defend our beloved brand, its called brand loyalty. I bet you will do the same if we insult your so called 'humans-only' phone right? So chill out and return to your droidfag thread.

As for that 'most expensive = most pro' statement, is the dumbest I've heard in years. Probably that's your mentality because I don't see anyone boasting about themselves having an expensive gadget. It's not a Malaysian mentality, its YOUR mentality. Don't simply slender.

A person looking for a true comparison to make a critical rm 2000 decision will need to filter the opinions and look at the facts. So the less opinions the better especially if they are vague. Anyway this thread is at the wrong place. I think the ts is not genuine with his problem

Agreed. This thread should be posted at the Mobile Phones and PDA section as it will be more neutral. Posting in either competitor's thread will only ignite flames to the thread.

BTW, i am really eager for the new iPhone 5 mainly becuz of the larger screen + A6 ( Rumors )  tongue.gif

Yeah, the way Apple keeps us to our seats, so exciting. Most probably it will be 4" la, so many 'leaked' prototypes also claimed it will be 4". But if it's smaller than that, I think I'll skip. A6 chip? Quad or Dual core, doesn't matter lor, as long as its smooth can liao. Lol

Actually the number of cores are not to be compared like that. S3 perhaps requires quad core in order to run 4.1 smoothly while iOS only needs 2 cores to run smoothly? I believe the cores are just marketing gimmicks where people will have the perception that the higher or more cores in a phone, the better. I don't think it works that way.

Nevertheless, the S3's design was never a looker. However, I am very impressed with the capabilities of what Android has to offer, maybe a sign that Apple needs improvement too. Coming from the iOS6 beta, there isn't much improvement in terms of interface changes, just a few minor changes in terms of colors and design. But I am still happy with it because Apple dont need to follow anyone, they are capable of selling their products 'their' way.

So for the upcoming iPhone, would like to see what it had to offer, to compete with the S3.

S3 build quality is the worst in the s series. My phone still have problem touch button light leaking to the main screen when in pitch dark room and dark display. I so lazy to claim warranty yet

Hmm poor quality control from Samsung then? This shouldn't happen if there is a good qc in their manufacturing plant yawn.gif

i don't have an iphone, but i have a ipad. maybe those iphone users can list what iphone 4s can DO that a....., lets say take the most popular brand now,.... samsung s3 cannot. i not really looking for features, but what it can really do. for example if u say retina display, ok that's good, but retina display doens't make u do anything. or if u say "less lag". ok that's good, but less lag doesn't make u do anything.

btw, this is a geniune question (i really want to know - ok maybe i already know coz an ipad is nearly like an iphone, but i don't claim to know everything). but i know it will heat things up. but what the hell.
*
I don't think it's fair to compare the 4s and S3 because one is based on last year's technology, one was manufactured this year.

Maybe the unique thing about Apple iPhone is, they have lesser buttons on the device. Take the shortcut keys from Samsung or Android device for example, the two 'touch sensitive' button beside the home button. Yeah, Apple don't have those, makes it unique in a way that a simple home button on the surface is good enough because our home buttons are multifunctional. Just my two cents.

ok use iphone 5 then. but it will be more theory coz its not out yet. or use ios 6 since the beta is out. the point is use the latest.

lesser buttons are good, but i am looking at a result oriented perspective. coz we sometimes use our phones to get results.

let me give u one, but is for ipad. when i want to display the multitask panel, i can do it faster with the ipad. coz i just take 4 fingers and push it up to display the multitask panel. on my s3, i have to press the home button for about 1 - 2 seconds to make that happen. of course i have installed some third party tools so that now i just need to double tap a spot at the extreme side of the screen to display multitask screen, but that feature is not on stock s3. so the results is , on stock ipad it allows me to do a faster switch to another running app than s3.
*
One thing i like about the iPad is, the 5 fingers 'grab and close' function. It's like wiping away the screen regardless of anything that you are currently doing, very convenient indeed. I don't have an iPad, not in favor of one but I noticed some functions of the iPad has, the iPhone/iPod Touch don't. Full YouTube experience, Calender cum organizer etc.

What about the battery life of the S3? I think the most important feature of a smartphone should be the sustainability of the battery. I'm sure nobody wants a smartphone with a weak battery life right? thumbup.gif

I was thinking of trading my 4s for S3, but the depreciation value of the S3 scares me man. My 4s is only 4 months old, but planning to get the next iPhone (5) when it's released here in Malaysia, but hands abit itchy to try Android. Later when 5 comes out, S3 second hand value drop even lower...

I was thinking, if the 4s 16GB secondhand value is within 1600-1800, do you think its worth it to trade with a S3, I presume the second hand value would be around the region of 1500-1600, you know la, LYN alot of lowballers. Hmmm

Nexus is owned by Google. They allow a few manufacturers to manufacture that line, from HTC to Samsung and now Asus.

hmm...can treat them as partnership for the R&D of the phone or smtg?lol..cos its said as Google phone (nexus) isnt it?

Okay, I googled it. The Google Nexus line was produced by Google and collaborate with manufacturers to produce the phone. So basically it's 50-50.

The first Nexus phone was Nexus One. Manufactured by HTC. Then followed by Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus by Samsung. Latest tablet, Nexus 7 by Asus.

Probably not produce, more like collaborate with R&D. But they don't manufacture the phone la. Probably give ideas how it should look like and stuff. Outsourcing and R&D cost a lot of money, Apple is capable of manufacturing their own products tongue.gif

Don't. The new S3 values at RM1799 SME unit now, in GS. When the new Note 2 comes out, the S3 value will drop even more.

Seconded. Even Android's Marketplace is catching up to iOS's App Store. Soon iPhones will be like Macs in the Windows world. 90% Android, 10% iOS. At least for phones.
*
Yeah. That'll happen with horse can fly. 90% Android? You joking bro. Not sure if I should laugh or cry, do you think Apple will just disappear from the market?
