it's an MBA afterall, so any increase of performance even slightly is good.

so if i buy a MBA online now, will it come with Lion OS or ML? And i have decided to buy the MBA 13", is it advisable to upgrade the RAM to 8gb? my usage is only surf net, stream movie, music, and some gaming (e.g. Diablo 3), not a heavy gamer tho..

I'm having a hard time to decide which Macbook to buy. Basically I have the budget, but I want my purchase to worth the money spent. I'm buying this week, help!

1. I've never owned any kind of Mac before, and I'm ready to make the jump now!
   
2. I have a windows gaming rig at home for heavy usage.. well its not really gd actually, just AMD Phenom II system + HD7770 GC..figured the next upgrade would mean i need to change the whole parts to intel system
   
3. Also have a HP netbook for downloading/torrenting purpose.. but its an awful machine to be used for working purpose.. so lagging.. ugh..
   
4. Also have iPad2, new iPad & iPhone4S
   
5. I plan to use my new macbook laptop for the following purpose:
   
   
   • iOS development
     
   • Bootcamp into Windows 7 so that I can use Visual Studio environment.. Being able to Parallel/VMWare is a bonus..
     
   • Light video editing and upload to youtube
     
   • As my secondary gaming PC when I go back to my hometown on holidays (Diablo 3 + Starcraft 2 + Football Manager + CIV + Strategy Games.)
     
   • Bring it out and about when I go out to meetings & trainings
     
   • Web surfing + Emailing + Social networking + watching movies etc
     
   
   

I like the slim factor of Macbook 13" Air .. The fact that its so light is very tempting but I already have my iPad for that purpose isnt it? Is the integrated graphic card does a decent enough job for my purposes?

Macbook Pro 13" is also an option but I feel that its extra processing power is not big enough to justify its extra weight and size

Macbook Pro Retina Display base model sounds perfect for me.. but its kinda expensive and heavier than Macbook Air.. my main concern is that i'm worried if it not worth my money..

I have placed an order for the base model rMBP actually.

From my observation, a lot of people that uses the 2.6 GHz model rMBP did not complain about the lag in web browsing and so on.

So I think I need some input from the sifu here, should I just cancel my order and upgrade the rMBP? anyone using the base model but does not experienced any laggy in normal use? thanks.

8GB is good enough for the next 3-5 years. After that, you will see most laptops comes with 16Gb already.

I would like to know type of screwdriver too. I failed to unscrew it when I just got my MBPRD because the bolts are too tiny compared to previous generation mbp. I want to see how great Apple engineers are. The mainboard + flash drive + battery architecture is so great. Although I'm a Thinkpad fans, I have to admit that Apple is the only computer manufacturer producing high quality computer.

I am thinking of buying the 11" MBA, wanna know where is the best way to get it.

wow.. i can't think of why someone would open so many windows.
either run a program to perform multiple concurrent simulation test for a system or for running game bots like for diablo 3 to farm haha

btw, since i switched to mac, i can't find much usage of it. typically just surf net or watch movie... what else do u all do with your macs?
