There was a young man showed me a police report saying that he lost his wallet and IC. He need money to get new IC and express bus ticket to go home. He asked me to write down his name, IC number and contact.

yeah happened to me too at kl. Didnt really bother to check/read the report. Just gave him 30 ringgit since there was a small kid about 5 years old with him. Kira halal la..

it's practically printed in black and white...so yeah...it's possible...

money also people can fake.....

next time, bring him to police station or call the number on the police report, ask them the reference number. see story tele or not. if not, straight away apprehend him call polis say he forge document.

later he come in ferrari and repay u.. he is actually a billionare's son..

i experienced the same thing. i took lrt from Seri Petaling. this yindian fella come to me and ask for money said want to go jalan duta tumpang lori go back sg. siput. so i ask la why waste money come until Seri petaling. he said he thought got bus station here. later he sambung tell me that he kene rompak in puduraya. everything hilang. show me the police report sumore, but i dun bother to read. i just said, go puduraya la take bus go back. he insist money from me just because he want to get taxi to jalan duta and to tumpang lorry.. i was like... what... i just totally ignore him, then he trun bukit jalil. looking for other victim maybe..

i had rm20++ bucks in my wallet, rode bike to jln duta to buy ticket to kedah, the ticket cost me all cash that i have. otw back to gombak my bike ran out of fuel along jln kuching. i parked sumwhere near the roadside n decided to walk home. when i passed a row of used car dealer a indian guy (mayb used car security) asked me why i walk n carry a helmet n offer to sent me home. i said my bike ran out of fuel, no need to sent me home. then he give me RM5 if not mistaken. promised him to gv back the next day but he said no need. i thanked him, n walk back to my bike, tow it to esso jln kuching. n refuel. one of the nicest indian guy i ever bumped

so many cases like this la now.. just now read something about one chinese man con someone rm150 and promise to pay back rm5k http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2440423. what the world is coming to? even good Samaritans will be suspicious about helping others now.

He asked me to lend him money RM850. He came from Ipoh, to attend an interview at Jusco Bukit Tinggi. He got robbed and he lost everything. He need to pay a penalty from JPN to make a new Mykad. He cannot withdraw money because no ATM card, and to make new card, he need an IC. The most dramatic part, he's crying blablabla. He told me that he's begging like a dog to everyone, but nobody cares about it. Very sad story, I've personally experience it before, and nobody help me. And I gave him RM150. The worst mistake I've ever done.

Modus operandi: Look at the IC number. He will change "his" IC number, 1 day before he con people.

I only realize that the police report is fake today. Look at the SALINAN SAH. And then, theres original signature at the bottom which is, NOT SALINAN.

I don't know who's behind him. He conned me at Tesco Bukit Tinggi Klang. Tesco got sooo many CCTV. Berani gila. And another mistake, I gave him my phone number.

1- 2 indian guys help me to 'angkut' me & my bike to the nearest petrol station by lorry (flat tire)

I still remember one very2 early morning in Plaza Sentral there is one uncle ask me for help.. He lost his wallet and don't have money to go back to Ipoh... I was in a very good mood so I give him RM50 and told me that he will pay back my money... He ask for my business card so I just give it but don't really give high hope laa....

3 weeks later the Uncle come to my office and he really pay me back my money... Don't lose hope k/tards... There is still good and honest people out there...

Last year i was at this household shop in Jln TAR. Suddenly there is this indian guy ask if i have RM10 for petrol for his bike. I tot RM10 can fill superbike tank. I ask him what bike he say modenas. Straight away i tell him to ask another person. If he ask for RM5 high chance i would pay him. He would even show me his bike outside. But the staff there seem to recognize him. That was a dead giveaway.

The best one is a chinese uncle about 40s la. If u are a regular passenger in Metro bus 13 from kotaraya to USJ sometimes can see him. 2 times he approach me in the last 8 years. His modus operandi? He will ask if u know who is the tai kor in Petaling Street. Then if u say dunno, he will say he knows who and is his member. He will talk how he was his member and end up in jail. Now no money to take bus home to Ipoh or something. That was first time. Say no money and send him away. Say i take bus because i no money. If i got money i take LRT.

Second time he forgot about me. I recognize him. This time he more aggressive. He would straight up ask u to give him money like RM10 because his tai kor in Petaling Street ask him to meet quota or he would get beaten up. I laugh at him and send him off. I would not care if he was really a member of Petaling street gangster. I'm sure they are old garbage fags already. Ptui! ptui!

while this is not related, but similar case

1. met indian couple with kids crying n begging for money at KL sentral, some story about came from ipoh for wedding, car out of fuel, wallet lost, no money for fuel. I gave 200. I gave such amount simply because i had illegal income. so its not mine to loose anyway.

2. met malay boy (early 20s) at Putra bus station around 10pm. crying, says lost wallet, made police report, need cash to take bus and then take taxi go home. i gave rm10.

What the best way to set up a trap if he happened to approach asking for money without him getting suspicious leh?

conman tactics:

1) create a "sad & begging" story which ask ppl to pity them.

2) ask for money (saying any amount also can as long as you are sincere)

3) give promise will return back money


all these are hypnotize/mind control technique! In order to break this....always remember a rule where our parents used to told us when we are a child

I last time kena before in Penang around the Supertanker Food court area. My brother and I were walking away from supertanker(I was like 7-8,while my brother was around 12-13 at that time) after having lunch. Tiba tiba one uncle who spoke in hokkien demanded that we follow him for we were accused of robbing the local phone shop. Being the ignorant brats that we were,we obeyed without question. He brought us to a secluded area and ordered us to turn over the contents of our pockets to make sure that he got the right people. Being the eldest,my bro had a wallet and a mobile phone while I had none and in a panicked state,handed them over confidently to prove his innocence. The man then asked us to stay put while he went to the local phone store to inspect the contents of our pockets with the shopkeepers to confirm that we were indeed the alleged thieves. He didn't bring us directly to the phone shop because according to him,the business had gangster connections who were waiting in the shop for us to teach us a lesson.
Lesson learnt,my bro lost about RM500 in belongings. An expensive lesson,but one that I will never forget.

My experience of these type of conmen was at Hentian Putra. Old uncle wearing kopiah will go around telling sad story and ask for money to buy bus ticket. I said banyak2 saya takda lar tapi kalu sekadar nak belie ticket bas tuh boleh. mari saya belikan. pakcik nak pi mana ? immediately he said nevermind and approach next person. That was long time ago, back when I was in college.

Pudu quite common also...kena once....after that saw him..."told him, u already conned once, if next second you still here then kena whack...he cabut"

Malaysians do kesian ppl...BUT conman take tat as advantage...best is, if he said nak naik bus, yeah, buy him bus ticket and food....never give money on hand...this way 90% will say nevermind...
