Still some of my surroundins ppl saying its a bit costly?! but put in mind separate it into Lens itself and Camera Body only lets say RX100 Body oni RM 1700 and the Zeiss Lens RM799 would this make sense ? This is not the case RX100 is Compact Camera but I'm sure if you divided it into lens and body category it's sound more fairly and even purchasing a kit lens of DSLR would cost you about the same. Just IMHO Meet a lot of my customer saying its "wow review say very good arr, but very expensive".

1 time long term investment. for me dslr is more expansive due to lens selection
total spent for rx100 on accessories is juz almost 1k or less.

I don't consider camera as investment and frankly the RX100 is expensive if its classified and compared as a compact camera.

But as a tool, its not that much more expensive than a smartphone, its certainly cheaper than my dslr and it gets the *cliched* dslr-like quality that the smartphone don't and a lot of utilization compared with my dslr.

For that... it's money well spent.

I'm among the ones who is interested with this beauty. Almost bought it today at Sony Center in Lowyat. They are having it at 1,999 which I think is a considerable price reduction.

But I came home without it. Still thinking ...

What things come with it ? Pretty good price if you ask me for me it serve very well and a joy since suit what I needs .

Yes, 1,999 was a fair price. I was merely playing with the camera and was expecting them to smugly say "2,299 take it or leave it!". I was wrong and nearly brought out my credit card. Hahahaha

I can say its worth the package I bought mine @ 150 ringgit more costly than ur current price and d different is 8GB and I bought it very new after launching so if u think its ok I dun c any problem to go for the deal just as my advise lor

mind you the battery is a taxable item. but after tax is like rm35 per battery (included postage).
Net amount might be varies depends on the shared postage fee.

about the battery performance, as good as the original

Rm35 for a good battery quality is a steal for me already. It is rm100 plus to buy from Sony if not mistaken.
