Although just installed I sense a bit warm at the palm rest ( at the i7 & gt650 sticker area)... hasn't look at the bottom.. is it where the hdd located?...

Now searching for SSD and change ram to corsair vengeance 8gb... anyone have the link to the ssd tray at odd... can share the link...want to get it... as planning to move the hdd to odd and replace hdd with ssd...

I like the screen but haven't test outside...

haven't register the warranty yet... planned to register + upgrade to 3 years onsite warranty after install ssd and reformat again...

hi all, i bought the dos version, so have been spending one whole day to install programs and drivers. i download all the drivers from Lenovo. all the drivers have no problem except these two: the Audio and the BIOS update   

I attach screen shots below.

i download all from the internet, have no disc.

i was not using the battery, whole day using power cord. i dunno that bios update need to have battery + power cord?

yup.... the Free dos should have one driver disc...

i think my sister might have misplaced the disc, i'll get from her later...

anyway, my bios is 5DCN36WW(V2.03), not the latest right? will try with battery on later...

i think the config for y480 with gt650 not yet update in their download driver db...

chopin... yours GT650M or GT640LE? If GT650M... I believe you need to wait till lenovo update their page...

no. not that good compare t asus a42 series base n my experience
if u all want to add user list, i will start put it at the main thread.

i believe in this too.. the best method.

Anybody upgrade their RAM to 16GB?

Currently got no money to buy SSD.  Just bought this laptop few weeks ago. Going to buy SSD next month if got extra income. 

Any recomendation on RAM for 8GB? Thanks.

must buy both same type of ram to avoid ram throttling.  or else u cant max out 1600mhz optimum speed.
