Added on September 8, 2012, 7:16 pmif you have got a pair of same specs, i dun think u should spend extra $ to change the ram to vengeance, the difference will be too small, unless you change to even higher MHz (that also I doubt the difference is worth the $ or not).

my previous machine was having one stick 1333Mhz, one stick 1600 mhz, also working perfectly, only thing is they will operate at whatever lower grade between them - at 1333mhz. if one is CL9, one is CL11, they will run at CL11. so u dont really need to change - unless if you can sell one of the sticks at very little loss, then buy another stick that is same specs with the other one. dont waste too much $ on this, might as well save it for SSD - the difference will be SIGNIFICANT, very....

haha, i guarantee you no problem! as long as both sticks are ddr3, they will work, even at different frequencies, since your both rams are 1600mhz, don't waste $$$ la.

Added on September 20, 2012, 1:06 pmto avoid it getting dirty, i bought a piece of laptop protector (rm5? 10? forgot) and stick it on the top cover - solved. abt subwoofer - so far i know only Asus N56 got, which else laptop give you subwoofer wan? also, even if you have one, will you actually lug it around everywhere u go? actually, the speakers of Y480/580 are one of the best already on laptop, other than Asus N56.

ok,

3430QM is the newer i7 processor that's a bit faster than 3610QM - but not really much.
GT650M - it is the Nvidia graphics card used - very good for gaming even though not the best. not sure abt GT650 - u sure u wrote it correctly?
freeDOS - the unit will come without any OS - u have to buy and install windows yourself.
W7HB - Windows 7 Home Basic Edition.

i'd say, both units are pretty ok (and I own the 1st one, just without the p950 free gift).

for these two, the graphics card is the same, both are good for gaming. at the same price, get the newer one. but the current one is not bad at all. up to you.

any idea if got any product that can made our glossy screen become matte?

this looks good, have you tried it before? i have a 24" (1920x1200) mon that is very nice but the screen is glossy, wonder if can use this sort of product to make it non-reflective too, do they sell such a big size?

i have just got the hdd caddy from skycrawler, and moved the hdd to the dvd slot - wow!!! hdd temp drops from 45++ to 32-35 (in air-con)...

highly recommended to all owners! this investment (<rm50) alone will extend the laptop's life by 1-2 years i estimate
