If anyone remembers this former youngster we had Miki Roque, he passed away yesterday due to pelvic cancer at the age of 23. RIP.

Didn't quite make the grade at Anfield unfortunately after early promise. I'm shocked. YNWA lad.

For me, I thought Ashley Young is the biggest English flop of the tournament.

I thought James Milner was equally as ineffective. Then again, England lived up to expectations didn't they?

penalty always down to luck..for me the england team only function defensively..their attacking was doh.gif poor..only defensive department and gerrard perform consistently for the whole tournament..

Young gotta be the biggest disappointment, most of us never expect Milner to contribute much in attacking. The reason Milner picked ahead of Walcott was because the former can provide more defensive cover to Johnson. Young enter the tournament with very impressive form, so it was a big let down for him to contribute next to nothing.

Game Play: 4
Goal: 0
Assist:0
Highlight of the tournament: Miss penalty

Not sure though because his contract was co-owned 50-50 by Roma and Parma and now what Roma did was putting in a higher bid of 5.3m Euros in a blind auction against Parma to buy out his other 50% of the contract. What we need to now if we want to buy Borini is to negotiate directly with Roma instead of negotiating 2 separate deals with both Roma and Parma.

Though personally I don't really rate him as much as another young striker we are linked with that is Alvaro Morata who reminds me of Torres but I don't know, Borini had prior experience in England and might have a better chance to succeed here so less risk.

I really hope we have an academy player promoted to first team. Been too long since we've seen a world class academy player.

RIP Miki. Sad news indeed, way too young to be leaving this world.
