First of all, I'm calling all the MBT Server VIP slot subscribers who previously paid RM300 for a whole year subscription for the Battlefield 3 server. Since there's no one voice out, and I also voice out once to gestapo, who is one of the administrator in MBT team, but end up I still cannot see any changes or improvement.

We were told in the forum previously, "64 players awesomeness", "grab your VIP slot", " instant access". I'm sorry, all these are real bull shit. The VIP slot and instant access were not a solid promise, since 25th October 2011. EA did not implement this feature (Or maybe yes? Need source.) for all server. Previously when MBT server was crowded, I also have to queue to join the game hosted by MBT, even after few months of Battlefield 3 launched.

At the moment, there's only MBT 16 players left in the public server list, where is the 64 players awesomeness that advertise so huge in the forum previously? Honestly, I feel cheated on this and now it has been 6 months after Battlefield 3 launch, MBT server is always quiet, and some time it is not available at all. I'v discussed with gestapo previously about the server status, also showing some other server example to him on how to attract more players to the server in order to keep the server live at most of the time but end up I still see nothing been improve.

So right now EA come out one upgrade call "Premium". It's a life time upgrade, unlock all expansion pack and most importantly, the Queue Priority. Since EA launch this feature into their games, do you think they will fully implement "VIP slot" feature to all of us?

I have to state it here, MBT has failed in:
- VIP slot promise
- 64 players awesomeness
- Less players active in the game server due to less attractive mode

Another issue would be could you tell us how much balance left in the total subscription? Some time I can see the server name is put as "Sponsored by", which is sponsor by some other company. If I'm not mistaken, sponsor means "free of charge"? Please explain on this matter.

Please stop telling all the further implementation or any improvement plan, I've heard it once, but it's not going to happen. At the moment I can't look back or find back that 64 player awesomeness promotion thread, it's now gone or maybe hide in somewhere else, or maybe in Battlefield 3 discussion thread, I'm not sure.

I want my money back! I feel cheated on this previously and I paid for nothing. There are many servers out there in the public list, I can join any of them with even lower ping than MBT host in Singapore (Hong Kong server ping at below 70ms at all time compare to Singapore 110ms).

Looking forward for MBT's administrator reply on this.

I totally agree with oec88. When I first purchased battlefield 3, I was so excited that I wanted to play the game and my friend introduce me to MBT Server VIP Reservation Slot. What they agree upon is that we could get instant access to their server if we were to subscribe as their VIP Member for RM300 a Year.

It's almost half a year and Battlefield 3 have already come out with more than one expansion and I do not see any progress of improvement done by MBT in improving their server nonetheless the server condition right now has become much smaller as what they have agreed upon in giving us a 64 player room. Now it has been shrink into a 16 player match game.

I demand that they could give us an explanation on these particular matter and would like a refund if there would not be any improvement or changes that will be done in the coming.

At the moment, you only see 16p server, because its an evolution server. Basically, the server starts with low number, but will expand gradually following number of players. So the server have no problem supporting 64p.

As for the VIP list, its on EA side that keep delaying on VIP list. How MBT be able to give VIP list if its not even there?

As per explained by MI.G, If I'm not mistaken,the server work based on the quantity of the people...the more people pour in..it will perhaps, change to a bigger map which can accommodate more people. Hence, they call it "Evolution Server". 8 people in a 64 map aint fun bro...

Perhaps I'm wrong.. I'm a VIP subscriber as well...it just that I don't know what EA is doing to apprehend this VIP problem..BF2 is a perfect game...i dunno why they cant just continue the way it should be.

We have the best interest of the community in mind without any intention to cheat anyone of their hard earn money.

as for MBT VIP slots, we have never failed to deliver since the server inception in BF2142, however sadly for BF3 , we have been the victim of EA of failing to implement the VIP slots since game launch hence we had to resort to manual kick to let VIPs enter the server.

We hear about the VIP slots are coming with the premium release ;

i do understand your predicament that translated into "feeling cheated" over the matter, and trust me that i'm sincerely not happy to be in this position.

measures has been taken to populate the server with the introduction of evolution server which evolve following the number of players up to 64players maximum which is the original server slot size (it was always a 64 slot server), it was proven to be successful when the server was at full capacity (64 players) and people starts to Que, few weeks down the road we can see that many have lost interest or had their gaming taken to other new released title such as diablo3 etc thus making the server empty most of the time.however the pattern will repeat itself where surge of players with renewed interest of the game upon the release of BF3 DLCs

i have made a promise to deliver 1 year VIP and I'm keeping the promise,to achieve this, strategic alliance have been formed to ensure that the server is sustainable during the period where VIP slot are not available and the counter will only starts when EA had finally made the VIP slot available ergo even if they would release BF4 we hope to carry forward the VIP period should it is within the 1 year period and some extra month thrown in as a token of our appreciation.

I hope that the VIPs would still continue their support.

I will not argue on the refund part but it will definitely impairs the overall plan.

Lastly, i would like to express my sincere regrets and apologize to all our valued VIPs.

Let me clarify some things for your information. At the moment, the server is currently running a PAID plugin that changes the server based on the population. When we had the 64 player server up for 24/7, everyone was complaning about how the server has no variety and it was hard to populate. So we obtained a plugin to ensure that our server could easily be populated without the players getting bored. It is still a 64p server with EVOLUTION set to it to ensure it gets populated fast (TDM > Metro > 64p awesomeness)

The reason 6 months down the road and the servers are empty is because Diablo 3 just released recently and the "Suppression" issue with M26 Dart annoyance was making people bored of the game. With the recent patch for the premium and new weapons, just yesterday the server was repopulated instantly, reaching nearly 64p before hitting the night at 2-3am with 32p.

As for VIP Slots. Please read here it here http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/premium . It is stated clearly that Premium only has priority in queueing but still VIP slots will go first. This means VIP slot is coming and it was EA who took so long to implement due to the server backend not able to pick the queue from battlelog.

As for server ping, I cannot argue that the server ping sucks. We have confronted Multiplay and if you need email proof, I can PM it to you. The ping is a result of TELEKOM which re-routes to Hong Kong before coming back to Singapore. We have emailed TM and have no reply. Its a TM problem and we cannot fix this unless TM change their route. The routing occurs from 8am to 12am. After that time the ping drops to 40-50 TM stops routing to HK. We can proof you this if you want as gestapo is using Time Broadband and he has 12 ping, while others using DiGi 3G gets 70 ping only. We are currently in discussion to see if we can get the server providers to use the change their ISP to get our pings lower.

I understand the frustration you are feeling, but please do bear in mind, though we are sitting quietly in the forums, we are still trying our very best to make sure the server survives. Our own members paid for the server VIP too (more than half the VIP are MBT) and we want the server to flourish as well. We have been working hard contacting the right people to make sure we get a good experience from our own server.

To summarise:

- VIP slot promise (Still there: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/premium as mentioned by DICE)
- 64 players awesomeness (Still there as server is now in EVOLUTION mode)
- Less players active in the game server due to less attractive mode (Negative, less players active due to M26 Dart bug and suppression annoyance. As you can see, the new patch brought players into the server. When EVOLUTION mode was introduced server was full nearly daily.)

RM300 for 12 months to have a 64p server up. The server is still up but in EVOLUTION mode. A mode we introduced to allow the server to change the size and maplist ensuring you don't have to populate a 64p server with 2-3 men.

Now at least I can understand more what is "Evolution" server but I believe many players still do not understand why the server maximum population has change to only 16 players some time for no reason.

If the VIP list is not implement by EA side, or keep delay, after several month of subscription running MBT should have keep the loyalist update from time to time instead of keep quiet in the public. We paid for the service, and we consider as a customer.

My point of view is do not blame Diablo 3, there' no such thing. I'm the one who get bored of MBT server before Diablo 3 release and do you know how long I never play in MBT server? The server was getting dead during February and March, or somewhere around that time, that already gave me a sign of disappointment on the VIP subscription, and there was no attractive game mode on that time, that's why I suggested my opinion toward gestapo through PM that time.

Just "yesterday" the server repopulated instantly, so the "yesterday" is how far away from the Battlefield 3 launching date, or our VIP subscription starting date? So you're telling me, after we paid the money for 6 months, AND the VIP slot still not fully implemented, and the server only get populated instantly?

About the server ping issue, I am very agree with your statement. I myself understand a lot in those latency stuff. With your explanation, it is really acceptable due to our major ISP always have routing issue that cause higher latency. But why MBT don't change to another host is Singapore as I remember there are two types of latency, one is below 40ms while another is always stick above 110ms?

As for Battlefield 3 Premium, I have read them in official website and understand what is it mean for Queue Priority, and yes, they will implement VIP very soon. Unfortunately, I were told to VIP subscription will start after Battlefield 3 launch for 2 weeks or 1 month I can't really remember. So far I have paid for nothing, to be honest, no VIP slot feature so far, server was getting dead in February and March, which all these lead huge disappointment and the money that I paid is not valued for the service.

Unless, you guys reset or extend the VIP subscription period once EA launch their VIP slot feature. Instead of EA launch VIP feature on this coming October (for example), then our VIP subscription will worth for just only one month.

I used to be support MBT, since I play Call of Duty 4 in year 2008, but unfortunately it gives me a real disappointment when it comes to service provide by you guys, I'm truly disappointed. Whoever wants to take me as a scumbag person who try to beg for money back, just go ahead. I'm just voice out what I think as a "consumer" that receiving service from a "provider", and my view is I get nothing from the provider.

On an entirely unrelated case, as TS has gotten gestapo's attention here, is there no ping limiting for Battlefield servers? I'm getting quite annoyed by the number of 380ms players especially when you've already hid, and yet you still die.

Part 1:
Well actually the details have been placed into the server description, but I do agree that some players do not click the details to see. However it has been doing well so far. We have also been communicating with the VIP's by posting in the MBT Forums as that was deemed to be the best place we could convey the message. MBTCENTRAL.NET EVOLUTION 64p Battlelog Link I do agree that we need better channel communicate our updates to you guys. We will look into that. In the meantime you can join our TeamSpeak 3 or Forums if you need anything.

Its right now 3.59 am and it has still 25 players in there, hence this should satisfy your issue regarding server being unattractively empty all the time. (putting the VIP Issue aside, I will come to that) I agree that occasionally it does get empty, but the plugin helps populate it fast and we are hoping the new CQC Expansion will further enhance our server population rate.

Part 2:
My bad for putting Diablo 3 into the picture (Nearly all MBT themselves halted BF3 for 2 weeks because of this, hence I put this here. I should have considered more of your side.). Let me rephrase. The game did go downhill during February. Back then servers were getting harder to populate as 64 player maps were too huge. We started implementing the EVOLUTION mode plugin only around March , specificly, 12 March 2012. This is because only then the plugin was released. Indeed the game modes were getting boring at the time, but the game modes are not of our control. At best we can set different styles like Rush and Conquest and TDM for now while waiting for expansion packs. The servers population was always seasonal, for most parts it was very successful after the implementation of the EVOLUTION mode as the servers were at least half full daily, but by then I think you might have stopped playing by then. (Our mistake on the communication, should have been more rigorous in informing here)

Part 3:
This is due to the 40ms provider not hosting BF3 Servers anymore. They have stopped accepting offers from customers and once the existing server terms end, it will stop. Not to mention, customizing is also disabled, which means we are unable to customize the server to match others' gameplay, etc. If you need more info, just PM me and I will update you.

Part 4:
I believe gestapo has already extended the period. Though I am unsure how long, the last extension was (If I am not mistaken) 3 months. But that was due to the expectation of the VIP Slots coming in Q1 2012. New discussions are coming in regarding the extensions. I know you are very frustrated due to the delay and NO we DO NOT think that you bringing up "consumer rights" as being scumbag. You have your rights indeed as you mention and we are in no way planning to violate that. We have been trying our very best to maintain the server up as our own members themselves are the consumers too.

Sorry for the inconvenienced caused during this time, but as gestapo promised, we wont be cheating you as that is NOT our goal. Also sorry if my word bold annoys anyone, I am too use to doing this for work, it makes things easier to read IMHO.

Added on June 7, 2012, 4:09 amThere is country filter, but specific ping filter sadly no. Somehow the backend doesnt pick up players' ping, so we can't implement any kick mechanism. Honestly DICE is doing a shitty job in maintaining a good dedicated server. We removed the country filter awhile back to get our servers 24/7 populated, so that while we sleep, the EU and US can still come in, keeping the server population in existence though minimum, which would ease re-population when we wake up. We will look into this and see if we can implement something.

We can't do anything since there is a bugged on the VIP slots, I think EA still fixing it but we do came out with our temporary solution for this. Please check MBT Battlefield 3 Thread, all the server VIPs can contact our server admins for fast access. I'm also one of the server VIP and always queue to join the server . In this case, you also can't said that we are the service provider. All of us are the customers and EA is the right service provider.

2. 64 players awesomeness

3. Less players active in the game server due to less attractive mode
If the game mode that caused less players to join our server, you can voice it up on our forum since we got thread only for server VIPs. MBT's Forum but you need to register first and let me know, i will need to add you in the VIP group.

And for your info, we hosted the Battlefield's server isn't to make any profit but it is for the Battlefield Community in Malaysia.

Confirmed, we actually had a long email conversation with Multiplay server managers and we had to send in traceroute details back and forth. Finally they concluded its TM routing to HK back to SG. We are also trying to get MP to change to starhub, but I won't expect much due to the fault being TELEKOM.

We had the same idea where Multiplay sucked at the routing, but after the confirmation and some thorough brainstorming, come to think about it, only TM would do this kind of crap, especially since the routing only happens from 8am to 12 am. Not to mention, Time Broadband, DiGi, Maxis, all not having issues, so it must be the darn TM.

We have also sent an email to TM regarding this hop in the route, and guess what. TM never replied, as per usual "epic" customer service.

Thanks for the enlightening on the sudden spikes during day time. 8AM-12AM is like the time where many people play and hence, one of the reasons we lack of players in MBT servers I guess (since majority of people are using TM) ?

Btw, this basically means only TM customers are affected right ?

Yup only TM. Problem is, TM monopoly 1Malaysia. Hence now I am looking forward to Maxis Fibre. Anyway back to topic.
