Personally i prefer lokatoo than papago, the interface much betterĀ  smile.gif
I only use papago when destination cannot be found in lokatoo
I already put garmin too, but the font is so small
*
Care to share how do you put the garmin?

Yes agree, Lokatoo is not that bad ... Lokatoo/Garmin/Papago has their own strength/weakness. The only reason I like Papago/Garmin is because the MFM MAP version is more up-to-date. And I prefer Papago (for now) than Garmin because my current Garmin do not support JV while Papago is able to.

Just got my EB..

Fill in full tank got smell inside cabin. Think a few users got this also. Any clue yet why this happen?

Also realized got wind noise from driver side at above 100.

Then, the fan sound after u switch off the engine, woahh!! That is loud.. Worried neighbour will complain at night.

Other than that, all good.. Acceleration is good as expected.
*
The loud fan found after switch off engine is normal for EB CFE. In my case the frequency of fan turning ON getting much less after ODO passed 2k km.

If your SC likes you and you are willing to kowtow to him and he close one eye, you will be fine. If not, repair is going to come out of your own pocket.

Cocodemmon is taking a risk to do what he likes ..... as long as he is happy with his choice and risk he took than who are we to decide for him.

After all under normal condition/usage there are negligible percentage of the electrical wiring goes kaput within 3 years of ownership.

Update on the above

driven with full sat this week

1) fc drop from earlier 7.2km/l to 6.1km/l with sat mode
==> fc is most likely worse with sat mode. Switching back to cvt mode to see if fc improves to confirm this theory

2) with sat mode, feels car more stable during idle or reversing. Engine never died during this period
==>> sat seem to improve engine performance stability.. Aftr I switch on cvt just now, my engine died 30 min later

it took two months to fix the alignment for my exora finally at the R&D  doh.gif  and the final report stated that  the issue was from the tires  oops.gif

All the best  thumbup.gif

Alignment cause by tyre and took them 2 months to fix? .... is your alignment good now?. Do they change new tire for you?.

yes they had to replace 4 new tires although the mileage was 1K only
*
Amazing ... took them 2 months, believe an experience tyre shop can do that within 2 hours ... unless it is other problem but they don't want to tell you so blame on tire.

Whatever the reason good to know yr car is now running good biggrin.gif

Dear all EB bros,

i will get my EB premium (is my 1st car also) this coming wed since after 3 months wait, but i need to travel from jb to ipoh on the sunday, can i just go first services on the saturday regardless how many mileage? Any advice from sifu here?
*
I think it is not so effective and a waste if you change the oil immediately. The idea to change at 1k is to get rid of the loose sludge trap in the oil and filter but if you do it immediately it has no chance to catch that thing.

if i dont start my engine more than one day it will do the same up-down-up-down as if there is on spark plug not working cuz when i press the pedal to rev up the car starts shivering.
my idea is that there is some accumulaton of carbon either on the plug or on the feul nozzle  rclxub.gif
*
I experience that as well ... my guessing is because the engine is still too cold to operate efficienctly. If you see the temperature gauge is still vey low. Any better explaination?

2die4 bro, as u can c frm the attached photo, all the points are frm battery, execpt thr alternator ( hence; frm batt to gearbox point n then frm the same point to the alternator).
akchang, thx, but, really i can't thank you enough for reminding us abt the grounding project.. Yuupe, i do think u shouldn't forget abt one important point there, 'the alternator'. This project is so cheap n so worth of trying out.. I bought the wires with printed HKS on it only cost RM12 bucks !! So guys, happy DIY!  biggrin.gif
Dun forget to feedback if there's any new findings  smile.gif
*
So you continue to have a much better feel with those grounding works?

Could it Proton overlooked the good grounding design that lead to those "remeh temeh" problem?.

Dear All sifus,

I'm planning to get EB soon now in waiting list. Been reading through since page 1 until the last.

I saw someone mention about the SAT setting next to the gear. Wondering while driving if we push the SAT button will it cause any harm to the gear?

My thought is, if this SAT will not cause any harm to the gear box and there's someone mention here SAT will not cause the car to jerk when it's idling or pick up when reverse, or at traffic light; with this function enabled, will that solve the jerking issue and after the car move for a distance, switch back to the CVT gear? Just my thought.

Also by the way, after reading there are so many OWV and OCV what are the symptom of having this hope that sifus that had experience in this can share as a list so that to other guys and newbie like me can pay extra attention what kind of symptom to have these OWV and OCV. Thanks in advance
P/S: Feel scared also after hear you guys say got so many issue... But I don't feel/have this problem (lag, squeezing sound at dash board, engine loudness, jerking when slowdown near to traffic light, reverse time engine almost want to die) during test drive in PE 2 weeks back...
*
I have EB for 2 month with 8k on ODO. My only bad encounter is engine die off ~4x during ownership when shifting gear to "D" or "R" and sometime feel engine jerking during idling. Other than that am very happy with the car.

Thanks bro Klate for your reply. So just wondering is there any workaround about this? Also did you try to switch between the SAT mode on/off during move/idle stage? As i heard someone mention when turning SAT on it will not face this jerking issue? Can any EB owner test/confirm this?

By the way, just curious whether will turning on SAT on the road cause any problem to the gear? Or it has to be on stop condition then only can switch SAT?
*
HI ... Enjin jerking during idling and sometime die off seems to be a common characteristic for EB reading from this forum. As long as it is not always happening and no oil leak should not be worry about it. Some folks here said installing extra grounding will help to smooth out the engine.

is there so much difference between cps and cfe bold??? and is there R3 kit for exora???
*
I never drive the CPS .... but it is a common complaint that CPS engine is underpower. With CFE bold I personally satisfied with the power, being driving Toyota Unser for the past 10yrs as family mover moving to Exora CFE is a big step up. Not to exegerate but traveling long distance with family in Exora CFE is 3X more enjoyable than with Unser in overall smile.gif

Yes lucky you .... I paid everything for CFE including the petrol but most of the time driven by my wife . I only have a chance to drive when traveling long distance with family. For daily commute to work I still stuck with my old volvo.

Like to check how is the fuel consumption.

Mine is RM50 for ~250km for 80% city driving (wife fetching kids to school and other day-day driving need)

My calculation method. Once the fuel indicator light up I reset the trip meter, fill RM50 and take the mileage reading the moment indicater light up again.

I could never get that. The best confirmed figure (manual calculation) at 90kph is about 11.3 km/L fully loaded. Car own meter gives a more optimistic 12.2 km/L.

So what speed were you traveling at? And is the car fully loaded?
*
How do you get the meter to display km/l ? . My meter display L/100km.

i was also skeptical that's why i want to retest but my wife don't want the car smell of petrol  cry.gif

btw, at 140km/h still super smooth  thumbup.gif
*
I agree @ 140km/hr is still super smooth ... max I tried 175km/h for few moment only. My normal cruising speed on highway is between 130 - 160.

Can easily use calculator to do manual conversion.

I do agree straight line stability is very good. But during cornering, there is still too much body roll but I suppose for the price we pay, one can't ask for too much especially since it has a tall body.
*
O manual calculation, I though you can get that directly from the meter.

Personally I feel Exora is doing pretty good at cornering considering it is an MPV.

I do think this is their way to finished their stock for fully syntech EO...or they just want to raise up their monthly revenue...will be more careful next time and insist for 10W30 instead

Those X-1R is an additive for engine treatment and not necessarily to be use. But usually the standard procedure when you are at SC is ..they will list down all the parts and oil that they suggest and it's up to you whether you want it or not...I do think in your case you didn't realize it and accept it all...So be careful next time and do read the list before you sign it....just my 2 cent
*
Yes .... on my 2nd service they suggest to do some sort of "smoking" to get rid of the bad odor, put the X-1R additive and top up the aircond lubricant/oil .... which I reject all smile.gif
