It also happened to me when refuelling & engine still on. Next I turn off engine before refuelling & no petrol smell in cabin after that.

This funny autofan also happened to me, may be the fan control not accurate. Yesterday, after 100+km journey engine fan not running when switch off engine but at night park it inside carpark the engine fan run nearly one minute after switch off engine.  doh.gif

I always turn off engine during refuelling and never encounter petrol smell in cabin. May be I need to try refuelling with engin ON to see if I have same fuel smell.

Now I experience the Petrol Smell after refueling.

What I did differentlly this time was
1. Refuel while engine on
2. I purposely pour some fuel into the small hole at the tank entry.

I never see this small hole in other cars driven before I do not know the function of this small hole but was very carefull not to spill any fuel into it before whenever fueling.

I suspect the the petrol smell come from fuel going into that small hole. Next time I will refuel with engine off and purposely spill some petrol into that small hole.

a quick question... does anyone over here have this problem when u reverse the engine sounded like want to die? the bogging is quite mind bothering for me... (thou not him)
*
Yes occassionally ..I call it engine "jerking" .... actually I encounter engine die 3x for 3months ownership. Not only reverse sometime I can feel even going forward. But not a big problem for me yet.

on my case... normally if I've pump full tank... got smell inside cabin...
there is no smell at all if i'm not pump full tank... rolleyes.gif

maybe bro kelate statement is true... because if pump full tank, there is always petrol spill and might going to small holes...

are you always pump full tank...
*
Since you mention that ... I think I do get some petrol smell when filling up the fuel to full tank which I seldom did unless going for long distance.

My experiment so far.

Engine on and Spill some fuel into the small hole ---> Petrol smell
Engine on and be carefull enough not to spill any fuel into the small hole --> NO Petrol smell
Engine Off and Spill some fuel into the small hole --> TBD
Engine off and not to spill any fuel into the small hole --> TBD

By the way I see same small hole in my Volvo fuel tank but not in Unser... so my earlier statement is incorrect.

i don see any different when i do that

Yes I can see the differences ...... Cool stuff thank.

You need to switch off just before it go back to its resting position (while returning to its resting position), wait for how long you want it to stop and turn on again.

No wonder in the past I observe the intermittent mode timing is not consistent. It must be I accidentally turn off and on and changed the default unintentionally.

well, it wont work for me after trying several times. the wiper always fully down, it wont stop at 90% down.
*
The wiper will only stop at it normal resting position (won't stop at 90% down), what you need to do is switch on the wiper to intermittent mode then switch off (from intermittent mode to off) the wiper while it is going down to its resting position (it will continue to go down to its resting position) once it is at it's resting position count how many second you want it pause and turn back the wiper on (from off to intermittent mode again). This time the intermittent mode will use the new timer.

double check:
after switch off the car, the sound from the engine IS FROM A FAN?
that fan is for cooling the engine, or the turbo?

since that fan is moving, while the car is off, that means it is taking electrical power from battery without getting charged back (by the attenuator). so result in a short life battery? dry battery right?

this is something i think of but always forget to ask...
*
Yes it is using the charged battery. However in my opinion the impact to battery lifespan is not very significant to be worried (it will be an impact) due to its using just a small amount of stored charge. The missing charge will be regenerated during next long drive.

to date nearly 1 year since the intro of exora bold.

to all current owner, how you find ur bold....esp the CFE version ? happy what u pay for ? any regret...?

i still can't decide.....livina 1.8 or exora bold premium.

I got 3 kids (7,5 and 1 year old). Once a while take my parents and in laws....i will be driving the car to work... and i live in Penang.

So far I'm happy with my bold CFE, satisfied with what I paid for. I own the car for 4 months and did 12,000 KM on ODO

What I don't like
- Thin paint
- Occasional engine die off if you quickly engage gear right after starting the engine or when you do the 3 point turns (I experience engine die off ~4x through my ownership)
- Rough engine if driving below 40km/hr

What I likes are more than what I don't like smile.gif

Comparing to Livina, the big plus to Exora is the rear aircond, bigger space and pulling power.
