doing some house keeping, deleting old unused apps when i saw this. adobe air, what does it do?

last time when first buy phone, simply install it only,
been in my phone ever since. now wondering what is it for?
cant find it in app tray.

G users, you guys use the official ICS update for few days already right?
still got camera hang, or any hang issues?

media scanning is normal, it runs in the background, but just the first time will be long only.
after that will be fast. non g also like that.

they seem to be a mirror app offering same features.


is there something that in apex has but nova dont have or vice versa?

app description cant tell much about real usage.
would appreciate if someone that tried both share their experience.

for some weird reason, i have 2 super user app.

i think the # icon one is the newer one.
how should i delete the old one? is it safe to delete?

i worry 2 root app will cause trouble for my phone.

i answer my own question.

nova vs apex.

in terms of smoothness, actually both seems same

but nova got more settings and customization.
it let you choose the notification number.
app drawer can let you create folders
can add more tabs in drawer.
also the gesture, got 2 more gesture which is rotate clockwise and anti clowise.

basically, nova prime, more features then apex.
apex lost.

there is nothing that apex has that nova dont.

been asked so many times, press and hold, wait 1 second like that, not instant.
duno about G, but for non g, power+home, and power+volume down, both also work.

jkay mod got a bug one.
so annoying,

out of the blue, the clock will stop moving,
not the whole system clock, just the status bar clock.
it will just freeze at certain time and wont move.

time in other apps are fine though.
example the clock hang at 2.15pm in status bar,
but the real time is 3pm now, if receive sms, sms time stamp will state 3pm. lock screen clock also 3pm. every clock works fine,
just the status bar clock freeze.

need to go settings>time, set the time again only the status bar clock become normal. so far been using for 3 days, happen twice yesterday.

i use LPF odex version.

got frustrated with lack of themes.
also facing volume skip track not working.
cant stand already,

now change using NEAT rom LPG one.
just flash jkay mod for LPG deodex one.

download this theme now, it looks absolutely stunning.

trying to install vertumus theme, it really looks like ICS,
but stuck in bootloop. so mafan this theme. :-S

instructions says remove mods, i dont have any mods also.
like that also get boot loop. haiz

damn, worst theme installation experience.
1.bootloop
2.hang in cwm during installation
3.bootloop
4. finally manage to install.
fuh~

edit again:

WTH....after install theme, notice no more jkay mod, it somehow remove the jkay framework,
after reinstall jkay framework, no more theme...

i use GO launcher when i was in GB,
i download alot of themes. i only uninstall go launcher but forgot uninstall those go themes.

when i arrive in ICS installed nova and apex.
suprisingly i saw some of my GO launcher themes appear in apex theme.


nova support themes also?
dint see it in nova options.

i know how you feel, i waiting for checkrom ics also for very long time.
tried aokp and some ics rom but dont like it because dont have jkaymod.
i use alot of jkay mod features.

finally jkay for ics is out.
flash NEAT rom LPG based one. its stock ICS rom that is deodex. no tweaks or anything.
then install jkay into it.
this is optional, if you wan it to look like nexus or cm9 style, install vertumus theme.

now it's like checkrom ICS already.
actually checkrom is special since it has jkaymod and notification swipe.
NEAT+JKAY covers all the features present in checkrom v6 already.

oh ya, about touchwiz, once you try NOVA/apex launcher,
you wont want to stick with touch widz anymore. :-)

dude, he's been "COMING SOON" since march i think? ZZzzz...

anyway, what is in checkrom that is holding you back?

regarding EFS partition backup, what are the good apps to backup and restore.
the efs corrupt happened to me again.

i use GSII_repair to fix it.
i have backup my good partition using this app, but when i restore, it doesn work. still imei missing.
so i have to use the 3 step fix, tried many many times and reset many many times only it finally work.
such mental torture.

is there a good app that confirm 100% work first time during restore?
please let me know the name, i will go find in play store.

actually, your android phone IS the anti virus.

i never use pendrive to store data, i only use it to transfer data.
so almost all the time, its empty, containing only the file i want to transfer.

lets say its empty now, i put in a PC that has virus, copy a doc file that i want into the pendrive.
then remove from pc and plug to my phone.

the pendrive suppose to ONLY have the doc file, but since the PC is infected, it will usually contain some 'extra' unwanted stuff like, autorun.exe, xxx.vb, xxx.vmx, xxx.ini or some hidden folder and some gibberish name file. those are all the virus file, just mark all and delete them in your phone file manager

then plug the pendrive to your own PC to copy the doc file. no need worry virus.
it has all been deleted by your android phone. :-p

I think its largely due to the vibration during unlocking phone. The default ics lock screen is not battery friendly at all.

man, i think this is the 2nd time that annoying user pm me ask me buy battery. duno how to report, so i just ignore that user.

then i realize since upgrade to ics, never really play or change fonts.

did a google search, seems its still not widely develop yet.
methods to change fonts in GB not working in ICS.

is there a way?
