as long you are 30cm away from the screen, its really hard to notice the resolution difference. :-)

Anyone with wallpaper problem in ics?

It no longer able to set portrait wallpapers. It will zoom in and cause it to be blury.

I saw another user start a thread and ask the same thing. So maybe I'm not the only one.

Anyway, this dumb issue happen since honeycomb for tablets. I install wallpaper wizardrii , its an app to set wallpaper. Anyway way you want. Never though I need it on a phone.

This is common issue for tablets.
I don't know it affects phone as well.

Jz only I try to change wallpaper only realize it also have this prob. Surprisingly cn install this app, previously only compatible with honeycomb.

Anyway what's wit the sensivity n scrolling talk in paranoid rom?

Aokp sensivity is lower?
I using samsung rom, totally same as gb. Feel no difference at all.

this is suppose to be honeycomb problem.
well i heard ICS suppose join the best of honeycomb and gingerbread.

dint realize they include this stupid BUG in ics also.
basically they want the wallpaper to be able to fit in landscape and portrait.

so whatever pic you set also, it will force you to crop somewhere inside it.
really dumb in my opinion. vmad.gif

there really is no excuse for this bug.
basic thing like setting wallpaper also need 3rd party app is really silly.

makes setting wallpaper alittle more troublesome.
anyway, at least there's a way to solve this.

its basically a pendrive size mini pc that has android OS inside.
it can connect to HDTV and use as a small PC.

cost RM300, not a bad idea.
but the fact that its a single core bugs me.

my S2 seems more powerful.

I was wondering, is it possible to connect the MHL port to the HDTV,
then use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard at the same time.
then it will be like a mini android PC too.

do you guys think its possible?
will the browser resolution become big when connect to the tv?
or its just a blown up version of the phone screen.
and is it possible to connect bluetooth mouse and keyboard at the same time?

i just watch your video.
the important thing i want to know is the browser.
looking at the last few minutes of the video,
the browser is a blown up version of the phone screen.

meaning its a 800x480 resolution displayed on the screen.
that wouldn't be a ideal experience.

i was thinking paranoid rom with its tablet mode might be able to solve it,
but if not mistaken, aosp aokp dont have TV out feature.

is there a way to set s2 able to be a full pc resolution browser when connect to tv?
if can, then i straight want to buy a mhl adapter already.

oh yea and it seems MHL interferes with the android wifi/3g signal, some seems to have it some works perfectly

For phone with lower hardware, ics really makes a big difference. s2 is already very very fast in gb. Like u said, ics merely more eye candy.

But there's nothing wrong wit eye candy. I like all the animations. We have plenty of ram as well no prob.

I hear my friend using sensation, say big big difference after ics. I feel my tab 10 also much faster in ics, but s2 not much big improvement.

That's a good thing actually, means our phone already very fast n good to begin with:-)

Try sign into his Gmail account.
See what's his gmail, go to a PC try to sign in, click forget pw, try answer his secret question in the forgot pw section.

Hope u r lucky .if u get his Gmail pw, u cn use it to unlock the phone.

actually i'm confuse as well. CM9 seems like samsung ICS that is lacking more features.
no wifidirect,no fm radio,no swipe to call and sms, no complete video codec,

but for some reason it seems like a geek trend to use it, so call pure android.
cm9 suppose to be light and runs faster, but i dont really feel a big difference in speed.

but cm9 does looks much better, the whole theme and UI look.
i use samsung rom with theme similar to cm9, so best of both world for me biggrin.gif

i use NEAT rom
its official samsung rom that is deodex. so can install themes.

then use vertumus theme. its a clone of CM9.
everything is changed to look like it. the notification bar, black and transparent.
dailer, exactly like nexus.
even the call screen also been mod.

i found a weird bug on my phone.
i'm able to replicate this everytime i try to make it happen.

well, if you press power button to lock phone, instantly press home or power button to wake it, unlock, lock again, unlock, lock again.

it will definately hang, or more specificly, stuck at sleep state, and unable to wake anymore.

i notice this when i was repeatedly admiring the CRT off effect.
of course no one will do this on normal usage.

but there was once, i just send a sms, keylock, and realize i forgot to mention something, so i instantly unlock after i lock my phone.
it stuck in deep sleep and cant wake anymore.

conclusion, dont wake phone right after its lock, it may cause hang.
:-(

Hi, you're using the same rom setup as me.

But the time I flash, don't have neat lite.
I flash the neat default version.

Lots of samsung crap. I uninstall all the nonsense app, freed 200+mb in system storage.
So mine considered neat lite also in a way. Haha,
