all about display, camera & performance had been discussed, you should have overall idea. since you said gonna use for about 3 years, just remind about battery is consumable part & second, we usually need bigger and higher storage space in future except you always having free connection for cloud, sd slot support may important for you. if both are also important for you, answer is S3.

I think the hox sales r not that low just that the s3 is selling exceptional well (rivals iphone sales volume) and samsung has becomes veri popular.
Since s2 and note, they had huge leap way way passed htc. Credit to them, they r doing a wonderful job for android. Shame on htc, they seems to lose their momentum since desire hd. I m sad on their sensatin, xl etc. One x is a great phone except one problem : s3.

Mayb the coming one s could 'save' some of its face soon. But still not a s3 killer.

Cannot compare LCD vs AMOLED (it's like comparing a "tyre vs rim")
LCD is a "Panel Display"
AMOLED is the "Back Light"
In fact, both phones are using LCD panels.

It's ALWAYS Samsung's way of confusing consumers. (eg LED TVs)
LED TV is actually LCD with LED back-light.
Other LCD TVs are using "Halogen" back-light instead of LED.
So.....BOTH are LCD TV.

Get it ??

Err...wrong analogy....both LCD or AMOLED are SCREENS. Does the SAME FUNCTION and ARE comparable. It's not tyre vs rim which does TOTALLY DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS.

Btw, the LED thing was the industry fault, not Samsung alone. Everyone needs a new marketing hype.

Speaking of screen, both the HOX IPS and AMOLED have both pros and cons. IMO, both also good, just different.

well, kimchi always like to overhype stuff, like k-pop for example. LOL

after looking at s3 screen, it is good but with no WOW factor like H1X. yes, its really that good.

I say, you are lucky and happier if you get phones without bugs and has good services.
I mean, what's the point if you get the most powerful phone but that phone is unstable? Lags, hangs, FC, blah blah blah...
For me, I put this issue in number one for the comparison of phones.

Tat day I tried opening webpage Lowyat Forum using S3 and HOX,

my goodness... S3 is difficult to read in words, I need to pinch to zoom and read properly, especially words between "q" and "g".

However, I have no problem reading using HOX as it is crisp sharp.

I read an article before that AMOLED usually wont support high ppi display. This is why S3 needs to enlarge the screen size to lower the ppi which results in lower sharpness.

S3 = 306ppi
Note = 285ppi
HOX = 312ppi
Iphone 4S = 336ppi

It's not AMOLED have problems, its because SuperAMOLED screen mostly uses PenTile matrix that have extra subpixel making each individual pixel larger than it supposed to be, making them appear to be 'pixelated' despite having high resolution display. I find it rather annoying as well, because it's on my Droid Razr as well. And Super AMOLED suffers from pixel burn in, Google and see what I mean. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Go back to ur book n read about Amoled before telling ppl u have how many years experience.... Think u wasted ur 12years...
