err... seems like LPF got the potential to brick as well?

referring to E4GT (Epic 4G Touch) thread on xda website and suggested by entropy together with ChainFire there is no safe place for current ICS rom for Galaxy Note. Considering all of rom effected by eMMC bug and even confirmed by Android engineer. there is E4GT users who managed to flashed ICS rom without any problem, but few days after flashing his phone suddenly died just like that. Only blank screen, no download mode no nothing. Seems like his eMMC just got fried.

After review most of the thread, i haven't seen any user complains about LPF rom yet. i'm also on LPF rom, stock rooted together with LPF bootloader.

On the safe side, just go back to GB rom until Samsung & Android solve this problem.

For those who having trouble downloading samsung stock rom/firmware

go to http://fus.nanzen.se
download Check Fus Downloader 2.1

run CheckFusDownloader_v2.1.exe, choose your firmware (android), model (GT-N7000), country (Malaysia). Click check firmware. All the latest official firmwares from Samsung will be there, this including all samsung phone/tab rom/firmware. KIES SUCK!

seems like there are still some small bug for ics...keep waiting

wat does it mean by stock recovery?is it refer to reset factory setting?
and other thing is full wipe?is it refer to format usb storage?

revert back to GB using PC odin?like just put the .md5 of GB dxlc2 at PDA option then start the process as usual?

Right. Or just flash abyss 4.2 n use its recovery each time to wipe cache n data n flash rom. Anyway the guy who brick his lp9 rom tamper with the rom file on its ext4 partition n flash it. Serves him right I would say n now create another scare

Added on May 24, 2012, 7:11 amJust use Odin in PC n flash back any official rom. If you flash custom rom you will increase flash counter n with mod kernel will have yellow triangle during bootup
Do not use mobile odin as it goes through current rom recovery n possible wiping might cause bricking.
Well this is just for those paranoid over such possible bricking
As for me I will stick to ics

Should clarify your statement further
Abyss only to use its recovery to wipe flash rom in ics. You cannot boot phone up if you are on ics if you flash abyss
It is safe n OK to use cwm apps. Use it boot to recovery n do what you wish from there.

so uncle,if i just stick to my taiwanese ics which is LPF,no harm as long as i do not the use mobile odin since im a non-rooting user?

is ics with galaxy note can unlock the phone straight into camera mode?

use GOlocker ics.swipe left straight away open up the camera

Basically is safe as long as you do not wipe data from its recovery . Using mobile odin do not select wipe data too
As I said this advise only for paranoid users
I still ignore it n seriously I look forward to have my phone hard brick continuing my present practices . Just want to proof that such will even affect me

the bricking issue is over exaggerated i believe...

Create a new one. The old one don't have anything under protocol. Create a new one will see ipv4 under protocol.

wipe data = factory reset. In order to go from rom a to rom b, one is recommended to full wipe their phone first.

Eh I am currently in official Malaysia ICS but I felt that I lost root...so should I go back to GB and root it using Dr.Ketan's downgrade method then only flash to rocketrom v2?

now my PC odin doesnt work when trying to flash back to GB rom..just stuck at file analysis and setup connection status...walao...scare edy...hlp2

My Battery left 11% after 41 hours...

i had this wakelock for 3 times during on GB...still haven't yet encounter it on ICS...until now still got no idea what had triggered it?anyway,just reboot ur note will do...

guys...is the ICS bug thingy apply to stock non-root user?

Somehow my battery usage improved after deactivating juice defender ultimate Now my battery left 30% after 26 hours

did a reset yesterday... and things seems to be better. no battery drain. phone not so hot. not so much hanging, especially with swype. but still, too early to tell, i guess.

so those from stock GB going to stock ICS like what i did... though the update does not wipe your phone, you might want to consider wiping it if you face lots of issues. i had lots of major pain but after the reset the factory yesterday, things are looking better! very much better!

and though it's still early, but i can say... ICS is good!

Why so leceh ? Just use Odin in PC and flash back any prerooted rom and you will get back GB rom with root

I have done it twice yesterday for my friends who is now so scared of the ICS EMMC bug !!!
