calvin : some kind of hair algae i think. i have that usually after i add in the macro liquid fert. i like your filtration setup. may wanna add another filter soon. current is using a 1000l/hr cannister on a 200l tank. flow rate is very slow as it passes through chiller and diy co2 reactor.

thought of splitting it up to filter (new) to chiller and old filter to co2 reactor. it will have separate outlet and inlet due to different flow rate of filter.

go for stainless steel. even though on the outside, copper still will oxidize when its in high humidity area. brass i think can be ok too. mine should be aluminium coz i buy standard from LFS.

btw, update is that Qian Hu or Kim Kang shop in BP no more edi. fully converted to fur pets (cats n dog n hamsters). sad.gif less one LFS at night to visit. they are off loading their eheims but still at normal discount only no super big discounts...

10 kg is too big for me, too heavy also... tongue.gif

The worms looks like strings and thread??? Wiggle in the water and is swimming with the flow of the water???
You feed the fishes too much, a lot of rotting fish food in the substrate. Stop feeding so much, and they are harmless, you actually find more if you on your lights at night.
Or looks a bit flat and wide??? Crawling across the substrate and leaves???
Planaria invasion. Heard no-planaria is effective, but word of caution, no matter how safe they say the thing is to shrimps, always be very careful as shrimps are very sensitive

10kg maybe last u a year... haha... but bigger always better... can do less top up and enjoy ur views smile.gif

i estimate finish in probably 1-2 years. i'm doping 1bps on my 4ft. 24hrs non stop. hehe... the needle like no movement for time being...

u will need at least a 1.5 liter bottle. either its compressed co2 or DIY yeast. air pump is for oxygen purpose not co2

pardon me but don't fishes start gulping at surface when its not enough oxygen?

i only scared if the filter didn't start after a blackout. that will be a problem. the fishes will die due to ammonia build up not lack of oxygen.

too high oxygen will lead to algae also...

wanna ask opinion of sifus here.

should i go for a filter taiyo 1200 or one eheim 2217? RM150 vs RM400+

i wanna complement my current taiyo 1000CF which is very low on the output already after passing through co2 reactor and chiller.

4ft tank. 250 liters of water.

i think its the gauge meter issue. maybe can find a replacement one. try asking those hardware shop to point you towards the gauge dealer.

since tank is empty, no choice but to refill the tank first. then only can start checking...

brown color , you got driftwood/bogwood inside ? probably leeching tannins , put in seechem purigen , all tannins gone.

either that, can also change water 50% weekly until less yellow lo... what to do..

bio ring put until max ur canister can handle. sure enough already. dun worry about not enough bio ring media. worry about the nitro cycle is complete or not only... haha...
