hello folks.. i'm a super noob to FAD products.. but just want to express my appreciation to its product. lol

I got myself the bottom line of the Heaven products, the Heaven 2.. the cheapest among them.. but hey! the moment i put it into my ears, i was like "oh.. hey! nice2.." lol...

i feel quite surprised, the cheapest of its product line, but yet it is nicely done.. everything are very adequate, nothing impressive, but very audible.. yes its mid-centric, what to expect from FAD..

Bass is adequate, although it feel a bit anemic, i would say less body, but well controlled and easy to listen to.. drum pedal sounds quite distinctive, i can hear almost every single pedal hit.. bas is well controlled as well, easily can read on the notes played by the bass guitar.

Mid; as mentioned, this is created to be mid-centric. but the vocal does not sound too forward and does not slam onto your face.. a bit laid back, but enough to be said as mid-centric.. quite over emphasized on the "S" sound, i hope it can be tamed down a bit to my liking. having said this is mid-centric, but i would say the vocal does not sounds really intimate, less soul, lack in lushness, but it is nicely airy.. good enough, but i have heard better.

Highs, sparkles and chimes, but a bit lack in quantity.. sometime, to me it sounds a bit weird, the snare drum sounds near, but the hi-hat and crash/ride cymbals sounds afar.. lol.. but it is adequate for easy listening, and for the benefit is does not sounds fatiguing for long hour listening.

Soundstage is quite wide.. instrument separation is good but not excellent (of course).. individual musical instruments can be heard.. the way i always monitor instrument separation is, i choose a track with 2 guitar playing same notes simultaneously and justify how well they are separately heard. on a quad iem, i can feel the 2 guitarist standing at two corners of the stage, one at each corner.. as for this heaven 2, both guitar are well heard, but they sounds closer together, the sound almost intermix sometime. on bad iem, hardly to hear sounds of 2 guitar playing simultaneously, separately. so, heaven 2 capable to present audible instrument separation, as said, good but not excellent.

mid-centric was never my fav iem, as i listen to mostly rock and metal tracks. i love the engaging sounds from TF10 (easiest example), so things like UE900, Sony XBA-30/40 and the westones are my top list. but after sometime using heaven 2, although it doesn't sounds very engaging, it turns out the rock guitar sound quite nice, as i would use this if i want to learn the guitar play (as when i use UE900 or XBA-40, i would drown in the music.. lol).. so this iem turns to be my fav to pick up especially when i'm going around or commute. i got this at a generously discounted price, hence this is really a steal for me. i used to appreciate SE215 and RE400 for being cheap and good sounding, but now, Heaven 2 has stolen the crown! this is an easily audible iem with nice/good timbre throughout the sound spectrum, the essential standard for any iem should at least have in order to be enjoyed.

Indeed I must agree overall the HD800 and T1 should deserve better reviews judging on their reputation and the flagship status... not forgetting the $$$ tag!
The story begins as ...spent about second half of my day till 10pm before Jaben Penang calling a night...last Thursday my audition on the headphone sets. I brought my own Teac headphone amp and we tried several DSD tracks.. Frm the cheapest running up to the flagships! Perhaps it is due to personal likings, preferences wannabe, I chose FAD Hope VI! Could also be due to the environment and the type of songs played(my preferences).. Both the HD and T1 were really flat and "lack of spice"! Moreover I think another contribution to my choice for Hope VI is due to "mobility". Getting either one of the other two would restrict myself but stay at home tangling with 3m cables hooked on the headamp... (Since I already hav an entry level audio HiFi), then I thought I want something that is mobile, to carry my "HiFi" around when I'm out! With Hope VI, pairing with either Fiio or ZX1(coming soon), I think they just do quite a fairly job!
In my humble opinion, FAD gives me the "headphone" sound.. The bass, not to deep, the stage, not too wide, thr mid(vocal) I must say one heck of the best(again my personal opinion). Vividly can hear the phlegm out frm Emy Fujita's throat!!! No offence the HD and T1 could hav shined better in lots lots better way, almost able to resemble the 5 figures HiFi audio but then... Since a full scale already at home, acquiring another piece more like substituting the existing system..
I am sure Hope VI is nice but not even reaching the half way to the top, heard that the Hope 8 and 10 are inbound soon, bearing the price tag way above 5figures...! Really intrigues my interest to ogle for the arrival soonest ...

Thanks!!! Hey Phil, now that the virus multiplied and elevated to another level...looking for another phone la...sigh...! Saw there's one T5P advertised for sale, any one has any comment on this headphone?? I like T1, being the flagship but T5P bearing the same price tag which means T5P is not for a joke! Vice versa to pay for T5P, rather I die for T1 isn't it?? Thus both in brand new I would just forget about them. Now that the T5P is available for sale under used item RM2k plus... I mean it is justifiable la to get them. Moreover I need them to be mobile-able... T5 with a "P" should be the right one. But the sound and characteristic...? Anyone pleae pleae please??

Oh yes forgot to ask about my 8ohm thingy... Though it is only a mere 8ohm, driven by the DAC doesn't really sound a lot simple by the way yet, the volume knob still play at 40% and not really a lot lower than the other 32ohm headset!!! Mmm... 8ohm ... I wonder..!?
