But isn't the t5p and the t1 built with the same open cup concept? Noise isolation about the same right frm the both?? Except the core driver and T5P with 3.5mm jack.!!
I'm currently driving the headphone with Teac UD501. Source is Marantz via coaxial. Concurrently I use Fiio X5 when I'm out la.. So T1 definately out of the question unless I coupled X5 with another mobile headamp...
Frens were saying why not get an IEM instead since already had a headphone??! Mmm... This is true also. ...
*
Haha. Did u notice, that the T1 has net with holes, while T5p's housing is fully sealed? T1 is what they called "semi-opened", while T5p is closed.

Nah, while T5p may have the same Tesla driver, they are tuned differently, so even the same driver is used, the sound is different.

3.5mm jack? It's just that T1 is designed for studio or desktop amp use, so for convenience on the setup, the default jack is larger. T5p aims for portability.

Why not get an IEM? Wait for the Heaven 7/8 then. Haha. Actually, IEM and headphone sounds so differently. If you don't mind the larger size, then by all means go for headphones. The feeling is different.

Roger that Phil! I shall wait!!! Really really hard to resist though ...eBay cheaper by 100dollars!!!
Man..... Viewed YouTube about the JH Roxanne... I got to stand up straight and salute!!!!! How could they build 12 drivers???!? Twelve drivers into one small peanut casing???
*
LOL. More drivers =/= SQ, especially at the high-end stuffs, since they have specific taste or sound signature which might not appeal to all.

what is the different between
final audio design Adagio III & final audio design Adagio II. Jaben is selling about rm300 and above. I found at ebay selling much cheaper.
*
airy n more airy? lol. my friend personally prefer adagio II compared to III. Gotta try your own source to know which one is more suitable. After all, I'm more to Heaven series than Adagio series whistling.gif whistling.gif

you mean heaven II ?
i don't like the flat cable like beyer dynamic.
*
Heaven 2,4, 5, 6...etc.

Well, yeah. the flat cable could be a nuisance, so that's why we often install a clip on to the shirt so it won't be a bother lol.

Lagipun, I kinda prefer the smoother sound of Heaven compared to Adagio.

Anyone has tried replacing your FAD iem with either SpinFit or Spiral Dots tips?

Would you like to share your impressions?

Yea, I tried both on Heaven II... Hmmm... I still using back the FAD tips on the Heaven II, I still prefer that maybe FAD designed the tips specially for their earphones.
I will come out with a clearer impression for you later.  rolleyes.gif

Yup. Thanks for the impression. Would like to hear if there's an improvement of fit (most important) and SQ.

Wanted to get SpinFit for my FAD Heaven II also. Since yen262 tried before, I wonder is there any improvement in term of comfort and SQ between SpinFit and the FAD ear tips?
*
I couldn't really discern significant difference yet even after trying both spinfit and spiral dots. Perhaps environment is loud, or my gears ain't that revealing? I'm not sure. Using Ak120->FAD Heaven C.

Btw, spiral dots somehow makes the sound become darker a little bit.

Hmm I wonder is the SpinFit worth buying or not. I might be going to Jaben tomorrow and try it out.
*
If it gives u better seal and fit for your ears, why not? Try the smaller sizes first, they might snuck into your ears better.

Heaven 7: Compared to 8, it sounds much more clearer due to the lack of thicker bass. However, it has somewhat rougher overall texture, and the bass slams a little harder and sharper. Lean towards aggressive and more exciting sound. Would recommend for emotional songs and classicals. Pop songs sound very clear but a little "edgy". Sounds good with better amp but I couldn't turn up the volume for too long as it's quite piercing to my ears.

Heaven 8: Compared to 7, or any other Heaven series in my memory, it's the most calm sounding one. First thing to notice is the lack of typical FAD sparkle. The bass is the second thing comes to my attention. It's definitely thick, and in some tracks, overpowering. But I can hear that it's not the main attention of the music. The thick and much rounder bass could be a good complementary to vocals to bring out the calmness out of the voice. Everything sounds so orderly, not lacking details even without the sparkle. One might find it dull or boring, I find it rather relaxing to listen to. Paired this with Lotto Paw Gold, details are coming out rather convincingly. Used this on LP? The staging extends beyond the earphones. Can clearly hear the instruments outside the headstage. Scales great with good amps as it sounds even fuller and clearer while doesn't bring pain to my ears as it is without the elevated treble.

Dynamic driver? It's been a long long time since the last implementation.

Yes exactly. I rave it to my friend in Whatsapp and he ask me to describe how the sound was. And I can't gave him the answer. Maybe if I have more time auditioning I might have some idea. But mere 20 minute all I can do is lose myself in music. Even if just another common list on Spotify. I already delete all my iPhone alac song to make way for picture taking. Stuff like chesky test song, lorena mckennit and alison Krauss all gone and I don't have my wifi at the time. But it doesn't matter. It's that great that everything is enjoyable.

Need to save some money and grab one.

The house sound is unique due to the echo you hear I think. It's airy, and almost everything sounds more airy than other earphones you heard. I guess that's the magic. thumbup.gif
