I don't understand. I tried to compare Heaven VI, Heaven V, and Heaven V Aging. VI sounds the least clear to my ears, and yet it has that magical midrange, which makes the vocal so euphonic. I wonder what magic powder did FAD use.
Pandora, please open yourself! Can't wait for the headphones! |

QUOTE(Bill2012 @ Oct 19 2013, 01:24 AM) driving power, amping power, dac related issues: noise & SQ. Well, there're lots of stuffs going on. But frankly, if you're listening on the go and treating music as background more than you do critical listening, there's no need to pour too much on handphone setup. |

QUOTE(Bill2012 @ Oct 19 2013, 01:13 PM) I dont know..but I do enjoy every bit of the instrument being played, and the tiny details, is that critical listening? I mean I no musician or anything, lol.. If it's alright, then just don't mind so much laa. After all, it's the joy that matters. If you really wanna squeeze every last bit, go desktop setup. Or computer audio. get a DAC with USB input, and an amp, or a combo set. After all, I think this IEM really shines when the source improves.just afraid this iem will be overkilled for pairing only with note 2, I dont mind spending more if can bring out the best of this iem, if not fully utilize its potential, same as wasting money too.. hmm..this is how I think, buy expensive iem but not fully utilize = waste money buy expensive iem, add somemore accessorry so that this asset(iem) can be fully used = save money + waste money |

Personally, I don't like how FAD is catching wind to move their products to be more luxuriously priced than what it is now. But it's good for business standpoint, as AK has showed that they can sell *cough* overpriced stuffs over and over.
Well, let's hope it isn't just another re-branding but really showed some promising stuffs. |

QUOTE(azlansani @ Dec 3 2013, 09:46 AM) just bought heaven s from jaben last sunday.. Don't you feel the mids somewhat veiled? maybe the time i tried, the fitting is not so good. Well, i think Final Audio gears, there's something beyond the treble, mids, n bass. It's how they add up together.for the last 2years i've been using hifi re-0 , compare to re-0 treble +1 and more clear mids .... hmmmm ... same i guess bass +2 |

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Dec 3 2013, 12:58 PM) Well, maybe it was the seal. I definitely remembered them being veiled compared to Heaven C. Forward wise, I guess Heaven series are pretty forward. As I'm listening to Heaven 6, they sound quite forward too. |

QUOTE(audiohurric4ne @ Feb 9 2014, 12:06 AM) I own both of those before, but I'm not a fan of metal, so i can't comment on the metal genre standpoint but in general.GR07 compared to the other 2: 1. Super balanced. The other 2 cannot compete in terms of balanced sound. Frequency is evenly spread. Neutral to slightly bright signature. 2. Staging is fairly wide (left-right) but not deep (front-back). 3. Bass can hit hard, but not really punchy unless the song is obviously punchy. 4. General use for most genre, most things are done right, although no particular thing shines. FXT90 compared to the other 2: 1. Well, honestly, this is a very personal taste from me: This IEM is very bright, and might sound thin on certain songs. Thin, as in lacking bass. 2. Bass can hit hard, not bloated, but not really engaging. 3. Treble spike might be very obvious. Bright IEM, high on treble. I remember Bon Jovi's "Have a Nice Day", during the chorus it's a super mess because so much noise on the background. 4. I haven't really find out what it excels. But then, it does sound great (i'm confused also) on some songs on some particular days. Heaven II? 1. Cheapest among the 3. 2. The mids are thicker, and there's a special "echo" effect. 3. Fantastic for vocals as it uniquely colors the mids. 4. Not having really wide or deep soundstage. But the echo effect does make up for the special environment feel. |

QUOTE(audiohurric4ne @ Feb 9 2014, 06:17 AM) well if im telling you i will get the gr07 AND the heaven II and will only keep 1, which 1 should i go with first ? since the gr07 is more expensive im leaning towards the heaven II now. but im a lil bit scared that the heaven II wont fit my taste and i have to sell it and starts saving for the gr07 pulak so yah. should i go straight to the gr07 or heaven II 1st. thanks in advance ! and uh since i heard that the heaven II is similar to the heaven IV, can u please try to listen to some metal on your heaven IV and tell me your impression ? opeth , metallica and slayer are my fav. if u can do that i'll really appreciate it Honestly, my problem is how to evaluate metal song? Haha. Let's be simple:1. GR07 is suitable for all kinds of genre. And it's tiny, so you can walk around with it. The downside (compared to Heaven II) is that it doesn't seem to have the same kind of "magic" that Heaven II has, which is the echo and the lush mids. It sounds very neutral to my ears. 2. Heaven II is very colored. In fact, all Final Audio Design IEMs are colored. So, you might either very very love it, or just plainly don't like it. It isn't really suitable for all songs. But on some particular songs, when the frequency really fits, omgwtfbbq you'll fall in love! Okay, if i'm free i'll try out some at the stores. Maybe I'll pay attention if metal songs are clean and fast? |
