My friend who runs one of the most reputable handphone shops in Klang Valley just texted me.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available on 30 May 2012.

I'm waiting for their reply regarding the price. They usually sell lower than RRP.

why s3 available a 30th May instead 28th May T_T

QUOTE(blinky @ May 24 2012, 11:38 AM)
90% sure I'll be getting the Galaxy S3, which will be my first Android device.

I'm currently using the Blackberry Bold 4. I think I'll still keep hold of the Bold for my BBM and e-mail usages, while the S3 will serve for my Instagram, Twitter and social networking needs. I have my iPad 2 to surf the internet on.

My initial plan was to get the iPhone 4S, but I figured the iPhone 5 will be coming out in October, I might as well go for the S3, since Instagram is on Android now.

Can you guys convince me that the S3 will not be the wrong decision for me, as opposed to the iPhone?
*
well you ask at android section + s3 thread, off course all people ask you get s3 instead iphone

QUOTE(blinky @ May 24 2012, 11:42 AM)
The reasons I'm getting the S3 are:

1) I've not used an Android phone before
2) Instagram is now on Android
3) I already have iOS in my iPad 2 and iPod Touch, and iPhone will be quite redundant
4) iPhone 5 will only be out in October

I'm not sure if those reasons alone are worth over RM2k smile.gif
*
Let me tell you why is it worth 2k
1) Exynos 4412 quad core
2) Corning Gorilla glass 2 as opposed to "strengthened glass" on iPhone which will break when it meets the much more strengthened floor
3) Expandable micro sd and removable battery
4) Large 4.8' HD SAMOLED screen for your viewing pleasure
5) Real multitasking with Android
6) Widgets as opposed to an appdrawer homescreen of iOS
7) You control your Android instead of having iOS controlling you
9) Android's power is like a PC, whatever things you wanna do with it you can, endless possibilities flex.gif
10) Smart features in SIII!!!
11) Customisations up to your own taste
12) Wolfson audio chip on SIII with audiophile quality and many much more..

I've an iPad 2 and boy, I still play my Galaxy S more than the iPad laugh.gif There's no point getting another iDevice since you have those(my personal opinion. Android will give you a new experience icon_rolleyes.gif

Pricing will most probably be better than RRP.

They don't do instalment plans though, you can work that out with your bank.
