QUOTE(hcgui @ Jun 5 2012, 04:03 PM) my antenna got stolen less than a month after i got my new car back in March 2008. Proton selling freaking expensive n i dont want kena again. Speaking of antennas, anyone tried changing to those shark fin antennas like BMW? so went bac home sad, parked besides a Viva, n saw that d antenna base is exactly d same as BLM's. no one looking, i unscrew d Viva's n try it on my car. tata, it fits perfectly n reception is as good as original. then being honest i return it and nx day immediately called up Perodua SC to ask for pricing. It's less than RM20!! (if i remember correctly) and quickly go buy one. since tat day, my car's been a cockcroah till now.. no one will steal (touch wood) cos it's so long. cant put into pocket or bag unlike d ori short one. haha. QUOTE(kelapatree @ Jun 5 2012, 04:12 PM) Sounds gone when moving. Only can hear when car is stationary no matter gear ia on N or D.. Could be your transmission or engine mounting. Kinda hard to tell unless we hear it directly. You car also have the same noise ? |

QUOTE(dares @ Jun 5 2012, 05:40 PM) QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jun 5 2012, 05:41 PM) 4) Overheat issue on CVT2. There is rumours saying that Saga FLX always break down due to CVT2 overheat. Is there any solution already? We use a wet clutch, when you would move uphill at very low speeds it would slip almost constantly. We cool this clutch with CVT oil, this is pumped trough the clutch by our CVT pump, this pump is directly connected to the engine. So yes, when not driving as you should with a CVT (and you cannot know this as this is new) you can overheat it. Please compare to manual, if you would keep it on a hill only using the clutch you would burn it. What to do? avoid long slipping clutches by applying enough throttle when moving uphill, the engine will produce enough power for us to close fast without long slipping period. Shift to N when you can, this will have a cooling effect on the CVT, if possible in N apply little throttle till lets say 1500rpm, this will rev up the pump and increase cooling. these tips are only for extreme conditions! all other condition drive as you want! Our CVT's are tested under extreme temperatures! Worst case scenario clutch will open, resulting in no drive as we measure temperature and in order not to break the CVT we will open clutch. You will have to wait a few moments, key on and off and there you go again, this is no breakdown! ini benda... you now adays cameron highlands always jam when public holiday.. jam + uphill.. walaoweh This post has been edited by iXora.ix: Jun 5 2012, 05:47 PM |

long story cut short, when go uphill, keep the rpm above 1,500rpm. If you're stopping on a steep hill for a long time, shift to N and apply handbrake to avoid overheating.

Cameron slopes are not that bad.
Just don't hold your throttle when stopped at a slope like you would do on a manual car. Press your footbrake or use your handbrake. |
