Will MAS tank tomorrow until suspended? Looks like confirmation of the debris being MH370 is high.

MAS now also tries to front sells optional travel insurance when passengers buy tickets online.
They didn't have this before.

Ya, the "tick" is by default, unless untick it. doh.gif

I previously also surprised why the final figure so much different from the initial page of ticket pricing showed, only found out, there is a travel insurance option being "ticked".

The fine print says no compensation if plane gets hijacked. A loophole for the insurance company to protect themselves? hmm.gif

It is a norm actually.

Travel insurance primary intention is to cover those like loss of travel document, belonging, miss flight that result in loss in financially, some medical fee etc.

Just like suicide doesn't get compensation in life insurance if policy is less than a year old. While life insurance in overseas in some countries as far as I knew, life insurance does not even cover suicide, disregards how old the insurance has run, correct me if I am wrong.

If this really happens, what will MAS's fate be? Bankrupt? Gov continue to bail MAS?

Insurance will cover most of the costs. Anyway, US$40million (RM130million) is no big deal as MAS has 16,710,781,200 shares, so just do a rights issue at say RM0.20 per share in a 1:1 issue will generate a huge RM3,340 million cash.

Sorry noob question. Will ppl still buy the share? What would be a beneficial scenario for investors?

1. How low can MAS share go down before reach PN4 or PN17?
2. If MAS shares reach PN4 or PN17, would all stock trading be suspended? What will happen to existing share owners?

Yes if MAS price then is above RM0.20 as still profitable to pay RM0.20 to get MAS shares above RM0.20.

Those who hold MAS shares will be crying all the way to the banks ! But it's still business as usual for MAS.
