Just brought tis cool ram, wanna overclock it, but lacking knowledge, Overclocked the ram to tight timings better or higher Mhz??? wat is the maximum voltage for tis ram... the ram i buy is not cl or xl version means original timings is 3-3-3-8... i adjusted it to 2-2-3-8 so far so good? any idea to OC tis ram to max? not stable at 2-2-2-7, may i need to increase the voltages? just give me idea...
anyone who owned tis ram, post the results of ur overclocking too.... voltages, timings, Mhz etc.

TwinX is dual channel
XMS is Xtreme Memory Speed
for the chipset the only most accurate way is to head over to house of help forums and ask the RAM GUY..

QUOTE(puvan79 @ Dec 31 2005, 11:13 PM) Sorry want to tumpang tanya How do you check the chipset. Is it fixed to the version of the ram or there is a software that can check. Tq It's either you pry open the heatspeader and take a look at the ram chips, or you can refer to unofficial RAM list compiled by various forumers in overclocking forums. QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Jan 1 2006, 01:03 AM) abit confusing la... i know TwinX they come in pairs for dual channel but is TwinX a XMS? Corsair's TwinX means that it's a dual channel kit and it's a performance ram series for Corsair. The dual pack Corsair Value Selects are not labelled as TwinX.

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Jan 1 2006, 04:09 PM) @soulfly so is TwinX a XMS? Both TwinX and CMX is XMS.. XMS means Xtream Memory Speed, this is just my opinion after i go through the Corsair Web Site

^-_-^ ZzzZzZzZzzz....
|
if i'm not mistaken, its like this
XMS is just the name given to all their Performance series rams (everything other than the Value Selects) TwinX are simply a pair of XMS rams in a pack, supposedly matching and will run dual channel flawlessly (same batch and stuff)
so, TwinX are indeed XMS rams
err...correct me if i'm mistaken

all xms are performance series, that includes LL,C2,XL.
then, these LL/C2/XL have special type such as Pro and Xpert which has indicators on the heatspeader.
besides using TwinX name, Corsair also use PT code for dual channel kit rams. that includes the Pro and Xpert series.
ie: LLPT, C2PT, XLPT
