2-2-3-8 so far so good? any idea to OC tis ram to max? not stable at 2-2-2-7, may i need to increase the voltages? just give me idea...

How do you check the chipset.
Is it fixed to the version of the ram or there is a software that can check.

TwinX is dual channel

XMS is Xtreme Memory Speed

for the chipset the only most accurate way is to head over to house of help forums and ask the RAM GUY..

It's either you pry open the heatspeader and take a look at the ram chips, or you can refer to unofficial RAM list compiled by various forumers in overclocking forums.

Corsair's TwinX means that it's a dual channel kit and it's a performance ram series for Corsair. The dual pack Corsair Value Selects are not labelled as TwinX.

if i'm not mistaken, its like this

XMS is just the name given to all their Performance series rams (everything other than the Value Selects)
TwinX are simply a pair of XMS rams in a pack, supposedly matching and will run dual channel flawlessly (same batch and stuff)

so, TwinX are indeed XMS rams

err...correct me if i'm mistaken

all xms are performance series, that includes LL,C2,XL.

then, these LL/C2/XL have special type such as Pro and Xpert which has indicators on the heatspeader.

besides using TwinX name, Corsair also use PT code for dual channel kit rams. that includes the Pro and Xpert series.

ie: LLPT, C2PT, XLPT
