TwinX is dual channel

XMS is Xtreme Memory Speed

for the chipset the only most accurate way is to head over to house of help forums and ask the RAM GUY..

go to memtest.org and download memtest for DOS

then get a floppy disk.. go to my computer and right click on a:/

choose format.. then on the bottom it should have a box to tick for "create bootable disk"

make it... then extract the program you downloaded from memtest and put the files in the floppy disk..

boot up.. in bios set first bootable to floppy / removable drive then let it run.. it should run automatically

once memtest start up.. press this sequence.. ( C, 1, 3, 5, 0, enter)

let it run for 30min to 45min

there's a few types of corsair memory

C2 are the ones rated to run at 2-3-3-6

it's the same as getting a 3-4-4-8 ram and people showing that it can run 2-2-2-5 .. nothing to worry about there..

it's called overclocking wink.gif tongue.gif

TCCx means that it can be either of the TCC family..

TCCD / TCC5

they're the same chip.. just differently binned.. but when they reached the ram manufacturer they bin it themselves again so it doesn't really matter whether it's TCCD or TCC5 anymore does it?

for corsair.. heat up the ram by running memtest.. keep it running.. then shut down and quickly take the ram and pry it off.. if you fail to remove it.. run memtest again.. heat it up then try to remove again..

another way is to use a hair dryer to heat up the heatspreaders... or a heat gun.. and it'll come off easily..

for method one.. u need to pull pretty hard..

well certainly it's not because of heat that caused ur ram to deteriorate.. 3.2v through TCCD? now THAT'S dangerous..

2 x 40mm fan don't move much air.. try one 120mm fan instead wink.gif
