yes, it will count in the damage, but when we done on the critical, it reset to the original stage and start increasing again and again until the critical chance hit 100%

for your DPS, i gotta comment, it's because you're on bow, with not much DPS madness increment with the passive skill helping by Archery. Thus your damage will constantly staying roughly 30-35k per shot approximately, whereby for those who is taking 2 handed crossbow, it gotta have the madness DPS for the first few hit, and then the DPS will drop quite a volume. refer ZeratoS's post for better understanding too nod.gif

In Inferno, IAS will help your skill animations play out faster. This is important up to the point where you can comfortably stutter step (Shoot 1 arrow, run back, shoot another) to kite.

After that, arguably damage per hit becomes more important as its more resource effective (Impale, etc) and wastes less time doing the same damage.

At some point (2.7+ attacks per sec) you'll be able to do two shots per round, but until you get to that point, its more cost effective to build damage over IAS.

I think put emerald better cause ruby add +17-34 dmg only while emerald add +70% critical dmg..

Let say you have 1000dps weapon and 1500dex ...

Radiant star ruby +20-40dmg ... Radiant star emerald +100% critical hit damage...

Ruby = dmg*1500dex, you get +300 min dmg / +600 max dmg..
Emerald = total damage 15k + 100% = 30k..

With SS passive ability.. Your first shot will always be critical which is 30k..

Correct me .

nod.gif nod.gif it's always better to slot in emerald than ruby, according to your formula on top already can tell that, each shoot we can gain from ruby is about extra 300-600 constantly, be it max out 6k damage extra for 10 shoots, i believe out of 10, at least 2-4 will strike critical depending on the critical chance rate. if 2 provided with the Radiant star emerald(100% damage when critical), the extra damage we gain is extra 30k..

after equipping the SS passive skill my DPS went to 70K
bahahahah!

all this while 40K jump to 70k really crazy la the increment

Remember the DPS increase only works on the first shot [or until the first projectile hit the enemy biggrin.gif]

Damage from 100% crit of Sharpshooter cannot be used in comparison, that is just exagerated amount. Must look at the base Damage (lowest it can go after 1st shot), that should be the average.
