http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Staff_of_Herding

The Staff of Herding allows access to Whimsyshire, the secret easter egg level in Diablo III.

Items required to create the Staff are:

Black Mushroom (act 1 cathedral)
Leoric's Shinbone (act 1 leoric manor fireplace)
Liquid Rainbow (act 2 dahgun oasis mysterious cave)
Wirt's Bell (act 2 merchant)
Gibbering Gemstone (act 3 cave of frost chiwawa boss)

Once you acquire all of the materials you must craft the staff using Plans: Staff of Herding. Once the staff is complete take The Old Ruins waypoint (Act I) and head west down Old Tristram Road[1]. Hug the south wall. There should be a Skeletal Corpse and a "rift" in one of the crevices in the ground. If you have the Staff, the Ghost of the Cow King[2] will appear with a quest above his head.

You need a new staff for each difficulty. The plans can be found by the Merchant in Bastion's Hold.

The plan drops randomly off Izual in normal mode. After defeating Izual in the harder difficulties, the plans may be bought from Gorell the Quartermaster beside the Armory in Bastion's Keep Stronghold.

My skill tree http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk...;ZXU!Zcabca

I've tried many different builds suggested and finally came up with this build for Inferno.

Resistance, block and dodge is sufficient for me to stand tank whole groups of elite packs without kiting in Act 1 Inferno. Act 2 and 3 is harder but still able to kill 70% of the elites with this build. Even killed Butcher standing in fire with my Earth Ally because he couldn't hit me at all and the heals were enough to keep both of us alive fighting in fire.

just curious - why red gem on the claw?

cos red gem on claw = + Strength, right? Strength not affecting Monk DPS isn't it?
