depends on your build.

1 hander got more damage, slower to LoH but got shield to block. not to mention extra resist and def.

2 hand can whack faster so Loh is faster. critic is nicer.

pick 1 la, blind is really useful in a lot of situations XD

examples:
- surrounded, however if you blind and cause mobs to stagger, you can sometimes slip through!
- big badass monster nuking your teamates, blind!

usually if i do resistance tank, or if i am tanking lotsa aoe (eg: cydae spiderlings) definitely crippling, hell it's been my tanking B&B until i needed the extra armor from deadly reach to get the golden 10:1 ratio

atm i am toning resistance down in favor of armor and dex, so i dont really need to rely solely on deadly reach and can swap between deadly reach/crippling wave, MoE hard target or MoH time of need whenever i please/prefer

If you think you have good enough resistance, block and dodge to handle damage from groups of mobs then go ahead and dual wield. If not then stick back to Mr Reliable shield.

at inferno, what is considered "good enough"? 400? 500? 600 range?

i have 800+ (after buff) and still not enough.

Depends which act are doing. Haven't tried act1 and 2 after patch 1.03 so I'm not sure. I have around 800 resistance doing act3 and 4, sufficient for me to take continuous mortar damage (with 900+ LOH) and enough time for me to move out from green/red shit on the floor.

Added on June 28, 2012, 7:27 pmReplaced Earth Ally with Sweeping Wind (Cyclone). Together with MOC Submission it is the best AOE skill for raping maps with lots of mobs like Act3 Machines of War up till Azmodan.

that is my main spirit burner >.<

ps: blind with 30%, heal's 18%, overawe's 48% damage is awesome

Guys i'm new monk in level 33. I wonder if monk is a good solo faming @ inferno, or should i go with DH, for my 1st lv 60 char. I planning to play 2 char both monk and DH, Which the best char to lv 1st then help farm to other char? thx for advice

hey guys, I hit 60 yesterday on my monk and bought some gear from AH using USD i got from buying and selling on the RMAH (cos I'm gold broke). As mentioned in another thread I'm not looking for the best gear but looking to survive Inferno as I went glass cannon on my first toon, witch doctor, which got nerfed to oblivion.

I'm hoping to get around 25k dps, 9k armor, 1k resist, 1k LoH (can clear inferno act 3 and 4 with those stats?). As you can see below I've listed the gear that I've bought (pls note numbers are rounded up cos I can't rember the exact numbers). Slots that are left empty means I haven't bought for that slot and using the gear i lvl-ed with. Any comments or advice for me?

Helm ($10) – 115 Dex, armor, 8% crippling dmg, 101 resist, 4.5% crit chance
Amulet
Chest
Shoulders
Hands ($13) – 125 dex, +armor, 50 resist, 4.5% crit chance, 30% crit dmg
Bracers ($5) – 130 dex, +armor, 60 resist, 8% crit chance
Belt ($5) – 130 dex, vit, +armor, 115 resist
Pants ($8) – 111 Dex, 500 armor, vit, 111 resist

Weapon ($85) – 860dps, 166 dex, 11% ASI, 651 LOH
Offhand (boss drop, looking to replace) – 960 armor, 16% block, 80 dex, 30 resist, 40 vit

My current stats are as follows:
17.5k dps
7k+ armor
700+ resist

u used $131 just to get that stats holy...

wat will you shoose?
1 hand weapon with shield (12k DPS + 20% block 2000~3000 + 32% dodge) or
dual wield(15k DPS + 45% dodge)

If your build had decent armor+resist+hp and you didn't die like nobody business then dual wield, otherwise go for palamonk route.

Wow but that amount you use , can get you like 50m gold? I last check this morning you can get quite nice stuff for less then 3m per piece lulz

i made the USD out buying and selling on RMAH mah ($0 investment)... don't really feel like linking paypal to bliz and also dunno what to do if convert to bliz credits so mah spend on getting some gear loh...

eh... the gear that i look for quite specific leh... i don't cincai buy you know... these are the best buys that I can get. Other gear up on the RMAH all 20 bucks and above and not as good as the ones i bought.
