Hi fellow monks,

I'm level 59 monks in Act 3 Hell mode currently. With roughly 4.5k DPS, 222 res, 4kish armor, all unbuff. So I kena rape left and right if fighting elites and I'm sure it is because of my gears. But I'm willing to tahan a bit until lvl 60 to buy new gear.

So with low budget, I mean really low, 700k ish only..what item to get first to get me starting Inferno Act 1?

Bump DPS first? Raise res and armor first?

resist then dex coz got passive skill turn dex to armor. also monk got quite some armor skill.

depends on whether u wanna invest long term or not, as in gear up to clear inferno act 1..

if just wanna finish hell, raise ur dps will do.. my sucky gf/mf gear with 100+ res and 4kish armor can do siegebreaker runs easy peasy with dps around 8-9k shud be able to breeze through hell..

unless u wanna do a one time investment up to inferno act 1, then consider investing a bit more on res as well..

anyone..any pros... please enlighten me.. i still die like no body business even in act 3 first chapter lol.. cant tank any elite.. it become worst when they enrage.. i stand no chance

can anyone advice me what type of gear can i get with my remaining gold, so that to pass through act 3 / 4.. lol

decided to switch back to my lv 51 monk post 1.0.3 from my DH. Still in the midst of deciding to go LoH or LPSS build.

From what I know: -

LoH = effective when you have around 2.0 aps
LPSS = effective when you have high enough spirit regen which is also ultimately tied to atk spd -.-

The stats look decent to clear act3 and 4. Maybe you can try to replace Inner Sanctuary with Earth Ally? Helps a lot really.

looks good, you whack monster slow? also perfect timing using your skill will help you survive.

use earth mystic ally.
she tanks like a boss and u can re-summon her anytime as long as u have spirit.

also try deadly reach with armor rune plus -25% dmg for 2.5 seconds passive skill?

the bad thing about deadly reach is the aoe area isnt as wide as crippling wave.

well yeah so what i do is i run around line them up for a straight punch lor.

the +50% armor for 3 seconds can raise my armor from 6k to 9k. useful mar.

Deadly reach is useful too, can always hold shift and hit the bosses from behind the wall.

hahah yeah useful when versus molten plagued desecrate waller also.

his LOH is decent , but act III and IV with 1.27 attack speed wont cut it.....

if you want to power level you can keep on grinding magda hell

no la ..my question was abit misleading.. my actual question is which route to go? LoH or LPSS when I have (say) 1.7 APS....?

eerrrrr i think they will recommend life on hit but i think its quite expensive route.

i only managed to pump all resist to 870+

planning to build my monk this way when I get to lv60

- resists 600
- 1500+ dex
- 20k dps
- 20% +/- crit chance
- 200% +/- crit dmg
- 30k+ hp
- 5-6k armor (unbuffed)

prolly with near 1k LoH

with this build

Is this route viable for act 1 - 2 inferno ?

Thanks for the equipment tips. Might not getting anything "decent" enough for that amount of money.

Sounds expensive.... I burned 2mil (only) and not able to reach your route.
