They are in no wise responsible for leaking. We don't want that. just let them do their job. Let them have media silence. It works in our favour, the Liverpool Way of doing things.

i really like this quote in the interview

:You need to see yourself as a part of the community, which is the whole Bill Shankly theory. That was his philosophy - everyone being 'one'. Unfortunately with the advent of the Premier League, fans have become so detached from players - more so than in any other country. Look at the difference between how the Barcelona players act and the way lots of Premier League players act. The players there have the humility to respect football in the first instance and to respect the club and the fans secondly. That's a fantastic way to be. It's the perfect model and it's a model that Liverpool should aspire towards.

We have to give martinez a chance or else YNWA will just be a slogan.

oh please... with supporters like you, YNWA means nothing. now you're telling us to back up the new manager? Sure, we will. But telling us to hold that YNWA faith in the next manager, coming from the likes of you, is just plain ridiculous.

in your case, it would be KD out, replace him with ??? (insert fantasy owner here)

That's the ironic part of YNWA that you spouted.

Yup.The bigger irony is you chastise me for spouting YNWA when you did the opposite to roy.
*
Oh really?

So you wanna play dig up some old posts? As if you didn't do that?
I did slate Roy Hodson. But at the very leaset he's still our manager and I didn't call for his head halfway in the season,. I did admit I slated the H& G for sacking Rafa.

Yours on the other hand is the hypocrisy of another level.

Halfway to the season you already are singing "sack KD", and you can't even offer a decent suggestion for replacement manager. Look, even Capello snubbed us, and lest I remember you just claimed that AVB would most willingly join us?

And now, you're asking for YNWA? YNWA means we walk through the dark times together.

At the very least, KD never did alienate the fans and the club, unlike Hodson.

Since when i said i didn't do that?Plucking it out of thin air?At least i am consistent with my views. You are not. That's hypocrisy at highest order when you ask people to support kenny when you failed to do the same with roy.

halfway through the season?I didn't know march was halfway through the season. All these while i though it was ending of the season.

Where is your proof to backup that Capello snubbed us? Is that based on hearsay? Can you tell me that FSG approached him in the first place?

YNWA means we walk through the dark times together but where was it under roy? Selective YNWA?

Bottomline is i gave every manager a chance at the beginning.Benitez, roy, kenny and now whoever it is.Don't confuse it with giving them a second chance after failing.
*
Oh please. Don't try to drag ne through that pathetic argument of yours. Just because we didn't support Roy.

NOW, PROVE IT.

I may as much forget that I have said things, and so I'll eat my own words, but I dare say I never called for his head in the midst of the season. Sure, I did my fair share of slagging the head coach, but I NEVER called for his head.

You did with KD.

And now you're saying YNWA, let's goo support the new manager? What gives you that credibility? I myself may not hold a single ounce or faith in the new manager, but even if its not hte person that I hoped it would, i will still support. i will slag off his tactics, I would slag off his selection of players, BUT NEVER call for his head, unlike you.

What's the point of having a liverbird on the avatar, when you can't even appreciate the one point of being a Liverpool supporter, that until the man's sacked he's still part of us. We are here to lend our support.

There are others who have called for KD's head, but they have mentioned very spesifically that it should be done post-season, irregardless of excuses and I conclude its fair game.

That is why I said when you call for YNWA for our new and upcoming manager, I find it hypocritical. That is why I sneered at your call, even the fact is if a brother called for YNWA, we should by all means close ranks and offer our support. That much is what I hold in belief.

@solstice: I don't fight with our own men, but I'l rather fight with glory hunters. And fantasy owners-wannabe.

@hfi: troll or not, he says he's a liverpooll supporter. My only interest is tha even if amongst Liverpool supporters have issues to disagree with, the 'sanctity' and the expression of YNWA is not something to be lightly taken about.

You are the biggest hypocrite around  laugh.gif You might want to think again before you challenge me to open your can of worms. What makes you look dumber is that post was dated Oct 17 2010.At least i started in march rolleyes.gif

Please lah my credibility maybe low but i am pretty sure yours is even lower.People can judge what i write as rubbish or good but i am consistent with my views unlike you.You have no moral standing to tick me off.

I wonder what you have to say now rolleyes.gif
Doubt it will have any effect though because logic and reasoning goes out of the window when it comes to friends.
*
congratulations, you won the internets?

if your views are that consistent, then where is the answer? the only thingyou've been calling for is a sack. Now we have a sack, where is the progress? We win, lose, you'll stir up shit. And now you tell us to YNWA with new manager and "move along". That is hipocrisy.

You have questioned tactics, signings (i think we all have, especially on how the players perform, i only pray that they'll grow better, and fast. At the very least, when things get tough, we dont stand by and slag one of ours.

So tell me, how is your view consistent, Rotuham?

edit: i never said i'm right all the time. Cans of worms? I have plenty, and I don't mind if you open..

The only thing that makes me look dumb is that if ihaven't evolved in supporting and loving the club to a better state. At the very least i'm not an armchair supporter, nor do i deny myself the capacity to learn. So tell me, what does your consistency bring forward? For all I see, the only thing you're consistent with is your negativity towards LFC, on and off the pitch.

@Adryan: Decent read indeed, but here's something that I think one may want to read (as a counter post) (i'm not pro-Martinez, on sentiments alone I rather have Rafa back)

http://www.thisisanfield.com/2012/05/a-brave-new-world/

Having point forth this, I would probably say it this way:

1) has spain's model of DoF worked? I mean sure, really, we are looking at Barcelona F.C. But how about Real Madrid CF? Jose Mourinho doesn't report to any DoF, or does he?
2) There seems to be a dichotomy, of where its either an enigmatic manager that pulls the team through or a collection of thoughts into one team's output. I'm sure we can have both, but historically we always have the manager that dictactes the system, not the system that dictates the manager's output.
3) if what street talks can be reliable, then FSG is clearly trying to emulate the Spanish "system of philosophy" with an amalgation of American business acumen. I don't see the fault with the former, but the latter can be quite tad disturbing. How does it provide the 'security' for our manager for him to be given ample time to shape things up? KD himself failed to achieve UCL qualification (although by winning Carling Cup we have gained access to the less glamorous UEFA Cup)

so how could the new manager be assured of a long term assignment, rather than year by year rolling contract based on achievements?

(I'll try not to compare the cups though, but the prospect of Europa, if we win it, and going for the UEFA SuperCup should be enticing, for record purposes.

on that score, i think martinez would understand the system thats in place in Liverpool & try to harness it. I for one thinks AVB is likely to rework, undo by having his own vision. Granted his success at porto but but the portunal or other countries are 1-2 steps behind what's been done in spain.

It is not by fluke spain's national team too benefited for the main clubs & their football philosophy. Between AVB or rodgers, and martinez, i'm going for the latter.

josep guardiola, as much as i wound jump a chance for him, I'm realist. It would be a masterful coup but let's not kid ourselves. Hoping for guardiola to pick liverpool over chelsea, is like hoping mourino dump madrid tomorrow or ferguson forgo his quest for 20th with Manu altogether and be charmed to manage liverpool.

zero. absolutely zero.

that's level 4 dream man.

try telling that to Guillem Balague. He's been trying to tell people that Pep said "MONTHS", not "MONTH". yet the media buzzes about Pep ready to take offer to any club after 1 month.

Although if you ask me, a former Barcelona manager in the form of Frank Ridjaard (can't spell his name right) hasn't been on fire ever since he was courted to some middle east club. (not sure what's the real picture, but then...)
